Most Exotic Traditional

DMA, that almond wood is just amazing! Singin50, I am about loosing my mind over that box elder burl! WOW!
I have been really hoping that we start to see some new wood options from GEC soon. I am getting a little burned out by the cocobolo, ebony, blackwood rotation that seems to be going on lately. It is good to see the 63 getting chestnut, but hope the wood cover selection continues to expand. If you are listening Derrick, I would love to see some new wood such as Ironwood, Jobillo, chestnut burl, flame, birdseye, or spalted maple, lacewood, purpleheart, burl redwood, walnut of most any type, etc. etc.
I have really little interest in bone, stag, or ivory, so I hope to see some new wood options.
LOVE seeing all these great cover materials!
Thanks,
B.

Enjoying this thread, lots of really nice ones pictured here. The exotic handle materials were one thing that drew me to traditional knives.
I would have to say this pair clothed in mammoth ivory are my most exotic.

I don't buy much exotic or custom - I guess this about the only thing I have that would fit in.

Exotic stones and black onyx in this Yellowhorse custom Case Baby Butterbean:

I wish that he had not used a limited edition Case blade - the knife is really a one of one. :o;)

Primble my friend, I must say that the Baby Butterbean is something to behold.

John, that knife is beauty incarnate! One of Ken's masterworks!

Aside, what is the background? Looks like a magnified tang stamp??

Thank you sir. Background is an old brick with the manufacturers mark for lettering.

Well, heck. Now I guess I'm going to have to shop for an "exotic" knife. I don't think I have one that's "exotic" to me. The closest thing I have to "exotic" is this Schatt & Morgan teardrop w/buffalo horn handles w/an abalone keystone shield.

Randy, I'd probably consider that knife to be exotic, and I'd certainly consider it to be totally, jaw-droppingly beautiful!!:thumbup:
For some reason, I've lately become absolutely smitten by teardrop jacks and I'm seeing them everywhere. Your buffalo horn, abalone shield S&M is just another superb example of a pattern that's got me temporarily (I hope ) paralyzed with desire! :D
