Most expensive Knife/EDC-Gear you've lost.

Lost a Nitecore PD 20. a bummer because I lost it when I needed it. But it didn't take too long because I was not satisfied with the SmartPiston Drive thingy. Replaced it with a SF 6P.

The only knife I've lost so far was a Leatherman c301, a $30 cheapie, while I was messing around in the woods a couple years ago.

It was a good knife though, I missed it enough to buy another one on eBay recently.

551 Griptilian was stolen today. Accidentally left it on top of a toilet paper dispenser at LSU, walked about 50 yards away from the bathroom, came back and it was gone. No circulation desks received such an item. 100 bucks, gone.

If I could find the bastard I'd slit his throat and throw him in the Mississippi river for the snakes, alligators and rats to chew on.

Thats a bummer. I lost my Foursevens Quark Pro a few months back. I think it snagged on the arm rest of a desk in a lecture hall. I wen't back the next day looking for it, but I think there was a class right after mine and it was gone.

Benchmade 9100 auto Stryker just after it was discontinued. Pretty sure that one was lifted though.

Honestly, if I found a knife next to some toilet paper I'd think it was left there on purpose. I would have taken it too, and soaked it in bleach:D

Why did you even have your knife out in the bathroom:confused:

Victorinox Military stolen in July 2008 from my car after a party at the Italian Club.

Victorinox Pioneer stolen in August 2012 when I was mugged after a serious party in town.

Funny how both incidents involved alcohol abuse. Thank goodness those days are pretty much over.

So you can poop and slice toilet paper with your keen blade! :p

Cold steel Recon 1- $80. seat belt snagged it and it fell out at the gas station. ran back, no knife. asked cashier- who was suddenly nervous- he said he never found it. (Liar). Men's wedding band w/ diamonds. REALLY caught hell for that. Hands were covered in grease and I took it off while messing around under the hood of the truck at Auto Zone. Put it by the radiator, forgot about it. Never found. $300. On the plus side, i found a kershaw Blackout, sent for the torsion bar which was broke, fixed it. Works perfect. Found a Sony Cybershot Camera at a tourist attraction, after hours, was there on contract. Checked it and it was full of photos of chinese tourists. kept it and bought a charger. +$150 for the camera, - $35 for the charger, so +115 on that one.

The loss of sentimental value often outweighs the financial loss. I've lost two knives in my life, both of tremendous sentimental value. One was a SAK Tinker that my dad gave me for my 6th birthday. It was even engraved From Dad on the main blade. Nearly 40 years later I still have a distinct memory of him giving it to me in the front seat of his truck. I lost it when I was in my 20s and I can't hardly look at SAKs without becoming discouraged. The other was a pair of aluminum bolstered, antler-handled sheath knives that were my grandparents. Not realizing how special they were, one was lost out in the field years ago (very tall grass) and the other was cooked up when our barn burned down. One of the cleanup guys asked if he could have it and I allowed it but now I wish I hadn't.

well i got mugged the guy tried to take my hinder xm 18 out of my pocket i out of instinct pulled my gone he gave me his strider smf if i didnt call the cops i wasnt going to call the cops anyway put i got hinder out of the deal :D

Trying to understand this. You got mugged, the guy tried to take your xm-18, you pulled your gun,
he got scared and gave you a strider? Is that right?

I lost a Benchmade 755.
I left it on the bumper of my truck after skinning wire.
Pulled off of the job site and didn't even think of it until I was home.
It still chaps my ass 4yrs later.

Had my first Kershaw leek stolen out of my backpack while playing air soft in 8th grade. I know who did it and that kid was/is a serious delinquent and his life probably sucks now so whatevs.

Was on a tubing trip in Boy Scouts while camping, right when we got dropped at the start I submerged initially to get wet and cool off, came up and my Oakley Minutes were no longer on my face...I frantically searched around me but the current and murky water took those glasses away quick...

I have no idea where the small stockman I had of my great grandfathers that I received after he died went :/ my mother mentioned that she had a few of my old knives I need to follow up on that... She mentioned it as I was buying the Marlboro Victorinox I picked up from the flea market recently. Great time to mention it, I bought the other anyway. More importantly she may have that stockman *fingers crossed*

I was shaving the hair off my left thigh so I could write some cheat notes down for an absurd statistics exam.

And most jerkoffs on here say "I WOULDA" but that's the type that deserves to be rotting in the Mississippi. That way of thinking is at least partly why America has become a stinking shithole.

Sage 2 about a month ago. I was super miffed. Still am.

It was one of my favorite EDCs.

My old Buck 110 that was a christmas present from my mom I lost it somewhere in the woods at my parebts plac when it fell out of my pocket. Searched all over and retraced my steps, but it was gone.

I lost a 2 day old Benchmade 300NS while walking my mail route...... Busted my @ss in the ice and snow and it was gone forever! I always carry "beaters" now while at work.
