Most Massive Super Strong Folder?

Aye, I Google'ed saying "Rapture Knife" and nothing came up that looked like that. Also what Benchmade knife is that again?

I think this guy was less than $100.

Didn't read through the whole thread. But I just got a Buck / Tops CSAR-T with Bos's ATS-34 heat treated blade, and let me tell you, it make my SNG feel like a limp noodle. I am not one to use knives in this way, but I literally would not even stop to think about prying open a can of beans while camping with this knife, it would be able to do it no problem. The thickness of the blade goes all the way to the tip. It also feels INCREDIBLE in the hands. I thought that it's 8 ounce weight would really turn me off, but I actually like the heft in the hand a lot and it doesn't really bother me in the pocket at all. For $80 it is the cheapest, super hard use knife out there. Seriously, it feels like it will kill my SNG, no problem, the liner lock on it is extremely strong and there is no play at all anywhere on the knife. Again, Bos's stamped ATS-34 steel comes on this, that is all I have to say about that. Also, got to give credit to cold steel's triad lock knives, strongest lock on the market and doesn't cost anything compared to the other hard use knives. Here is a pic of my SNG and Buck Csar side by side.... If you look hard you will see the thickness in the middle of the csar go almost all the way to the tip, unlike the sng which just gets thinner.

Sorry if these have been repeated but not reading through 7 pages :)

I think these both have smaller blades than you want but for brute strength in folders at reasonable cost I would say:

Strider AR liner lock (pre frame lock version). I have two and they are big and solid in every area

or

Extrema Ratio RAO. I don't own one but from what I have read these can almost be considered fixed blades when in the locked open position.

I know they are both production and not custom but for the $ they should be more than OK.

Oh that Rapture. It's also a pricy knife there. That knife reminds me of a Rambo knife with it's tip cut off and turned into a folding knife.

Looks like it's a toss up between ZT 0200 and the Buck CSAR. I'm glad there's more options for me to look into. Thanks guys!

Ya, brick hits it about right for the buck csar! For self defense you could throw it still folded up and it would probably just go through someones body with it's momentum, this thing is a monster. But it all works out to be great. I actually like it better then my sng. The reason I got the strider was to be my one SUPER TOUGH, do anything to everything type of knife (all the other knives I have are slicers). Well the buck just put the sng to shame. I am not downing the strider, because it is tough for its light weight, but the buck would just stomp on the strider and wipe it's feet later. Biggest overbuilt knife I have had the pleasure of owning, definitely a keeper, especially for the price.

Don't forget to check out the Cold Steel Lawman for around $50. Look on you tube and the tests they did on it. It really did destroy the competition. It went far beyond what destroyed what were supposed to be extreme hard use knives. That triad lock is no joke. I have the lawman coming tomorrow.

Edit: Didn't see that you already had a recon 1 which has the triad lock. You want a super beefed up, awesome sharpened prybar that will not break, just get the Buck Csar and be done with it. I have had striders, hinderers, sebenzas, benchmade.. etc... etc.. and this thing is the most solid brick of a folder I have put in my hand, seriously.... There are 3 models out, get the one with the sculped G10 handles. This one has the ATS-34 blade heat treated and stamped by Paul Bos who everyone knows is the man when it comes to heat treatement.

Slight change of thread, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned the Lionsteel SR-1. It's certainly bombproof, and with the rotolock engaged it's beyond bombproof I would think. Of course the price is enough to blow a hole in your pocket though...
