Most Massive Super Strong Folder?

Geez, with all those blobs of pricey folders, I got sort of overwhelmed with all that is out there that will cost half my liver and my left kidney. :p

Can someone just tell me a list of ultra strong "pry bar" strength folders (the bigger the better) for under say $100?

i have this Marshall Noble d2 4.25 blade, 7/16 thick, ti liners , the lock liner is 5/16 thick and g10. a tank.

That knife is amazing! The only thing I would change would be no scale on the locking side and cut a wave hook into the blade.

One of the best hard use knives under $50.00. Out of production, but you can find them on eBay

Ah thank you Alpha.

And Maddog, I already have a Recon 1 and doesn't really feel beefy to me as a folder. That Kershaw Rake is a good possibility as it has curves and looks beefy to me.

Can't blame me, I like my knives to look great in my hand or in anyone else while looking beefy and big yet still do their job fully no matter how much work I put it through. :p

The $100 cap is limiting. But I forgot my favorite...the Boker+ Kalashnikov 101 it is pure beef for about $60. I stopped by the AG Russell store and held the Hossom in one hand and the Kalashnikov in the other...beefiness. The handle wasnt as thick but it was a tank. That would be my recommendation. Google it.

WilliamWoods:

I'm really liking your design for two reasons. First it has the blade length to take advantage of the extra heavy build. IMO, if a knife has a .25 inch thick blade it's got to be at least 5 inches long. I want to be able to baton with a massive folder and have no worries about damage! Second I really like the roller bearing pivot. This is something I dreamed up a long time ago myself in hopes someone would put something crazy like this together. I can't wait to see the completed knife as I have little imagination to envision what it will look like. Knives to me are like airplanes if they "look" good they generally "are" good. keep us posted!

Also, kershawguy may have some ZT 0200's with a blem for under $100.00
That knife is a heavy hitter. I have the Rake and love it but would choose a ZT 0200 over it.
Good luck, hope this helps.

How does the 0200 flip? Everytime I see a video, the person has a hard time getting it all the way open without flicking their wrist.

Checking ZT 0200

*Few minutes later*

Damn, now that's curves and beef all together in one. Looks like I might have to pay extra but if it does what I hope to use it for, I got a feeling it will be with me for the long run.

Lets see if anyone can top that one while sticking to under $100 if possible :p

^^
Mine flips fast and hard. I use Rem Oil and the tefLon does a good job bonding to the metal. Shake it good before you apply so the Teflon mixes with the lube ;)
PS get one :)

He was out of 0200 last I checked. I have heard good things about Bokers heat treatment of their 440, making it a bit tougher. It is also thick. The Jim Burke from boker is also beef.

I've heard good things so far about the ZT and the way the ZT makes everything curves and meld with my hand when I tested it in the gun store, it's very appealing. I just happened to forget about it until you reminded me, so thank you.

Now I need to see if there's anything better than a ZT because I rather have many fixed blade knives rather than folder as I rather have few folder and carry 1 or 2 for many months. Weird way of looking at it but *shrugs* me brain do what me brain wants.

^^
Honestly for the money it comes with 154CM steel you can't beat it.
They are overbuilt and worth every penny ;)
