Most owned knife on this forum?

The most likely one I think is either the Endura, Delica, AFCK or Buck110.
SAK? Which specific model........

jeez, I just posted this like 4 hrs ago or so and it drew 42 hits. Wow

Guess that Buck 110 was pretty popular eh?

If it means anything, I looked up the BF Yr 1 Archives. The AFCK is in 140 threads, the Buck 110 is in 80 threads.

I think most American males have owned some type of SAK at some point in their lives, not just BF members.

This might be a good place to ask a question I've wondered about: When was the Buck 110 first made and how much did it cost at that time?

The Buck model 110 was first marketed during 1963-64. I'm not sure about the original price point but would suspect it was about $13 US.

Well the one I don't have is a Buck 110. Maybe I need to pick one up.

It is a classic.

Blades

Buck 110, hands down. But with the introduction of the modern "tactical" type
folders, I'm certain most 110's have been
retired.....I haven't carried mine in over
2 yrs..

Buck 110 does seem to be an older knife is why more AFCK's are dicussed up on this forum I would think though...

Smoke,
You can't really go by those stats. We on the Forums constitute only a very small portion of the knife buying and using public.
We also are the aficionados of the knife world. I think the mass marketing and wider distribution of the 110, plus the fact that it's been around a great deal longer than the AFCK, are major reasons for it's popularity. Couple that with the price and overall good quality of the piece and you've got the formula for a legendary blade. In time, the AFCK will gain ground, but I wonder if it will ever match the enormous legendary status that the 110 enjoys.
BTW, I would take the AFCK over the 110, given the choice, be that as it may, there is still much to be said about a great lockback like the 110.
They are both destined to be legends IMO.

So, what IS the speed of dark?

Case knives, are the #1 brand of collected knives. I mentioned them in a previous post. Has anyone else? I know there's a lot of different styles, most people could find something of theirs to like.

I have owned a Buck 110.
I carry a SAK, every day. If I lost it or broke it, I would replace it the same day. I've never owned any BM, if I had to have one, I'd go with their new Axis lock. I don't see the other one as a legend. Certainly, not even in the same class as a Buck 110.

To my knowledge Al Buck's model 110 and it's followers (copies) have sold more than any single design in the history of American knives. He (and it) are a credit to the American Knife Industry

Sal Glesser, in my humble opinion, called it.
Buck 110 and clones, #1. SAK and clones, #3. Endura/Delica ( and the best of the lot day in and day out ) #4.

Only way I can see Mr. Glesser being wrong is if the BOY SCOUT KNIFE ( and clones - military and civilian ) is #1 instead of #2. Think about it, wasn't that the first knife you ever just HAD to have?

Somewhere, a village is being deprived of an idiot.

Rusty,
You're right. My Boy Scout Knife, was my first knife. I still have it tucked away in a draw. I loved, used it, I turned it into a piece of junk... kids!

I would probably say that almost everone on BF has owned or owns a Benchmade, or Spyderco of some model or another. I own 10-15 of each, I doubt I am alone.
