Having read these forums for years, though not as a member, it’s been interesting to see things come and go.
Strider - for a while everybody loved Strider, then a lot of people hated and still do hate Strider.
BK2 - one minute it’s the ultimate knife to do it all, the next minute it is an overweight, useless, sharpened pry bar. Same goes for the ESEE 5.
Bark River - a lot of people have lost a lot of love for that company and its proprietor.
But then there are certain, evergreen companies that just seem to get it right with certain models, and in their behaviour, which in itself pays serious dividends. Spyderco, for example, and its “shiny footprints” approach to the Internet, and with the PM2, Delica, Endura etc.
Benchmade: am I the only one who gnashed their teeth when they discontinued the 710?
And bladeforums wouldn’t be bladeforums without the permanent Sebenza love-in. I should buy one, one of these days...
