Thanks, Brian. I just clicked on it when I read your post. I imagine this forum has had a field day with the Bear Grylls hotel stuff, not to mention some of his questionable survival techniques. Old news.

Bear knows his stuff, mostly. That's why it's an extreme dereliction of responsibility on his part to knowingly subvert critical info to play up the entertainment aspect, and still call it "teaching survival." He knows better, and does not care about anything but ratings and fame.

Welcome HD I enjoy your post and I read the review on BG knife,you did a great job but some folks just can't stand him on this forum but watch the show.... I watch BG show and Les ,I prefer Les version but I am not going to knock BG for his sometimes dangerous ways he approaches stuff.

Hey you all? I don't have access to this at anytime but is WSS the most popular forum on BF? It seems like from noon on there is between 50 and
70(!)plus members surfing this forum. Just for comparison when I see that number I go on a few of the other forums on BF and the numbers are always lower. Is it possible there are more people on this one at any given time than most others or am I just missing some of the more popular forums here?

I am not going to knock BG for his sometimes dangerous ways he approaches stuff.

Tony, I enjoy watching from the entertainment perspective. But I am just waiting to hear of some kid who rushed down a rocky slope in imitation of BG, or some other stunt of his, and gets killed.

The sad thing is, only then will his show become scrutinized the way it needs to be. It needs to be scrutinized now, before that happens.

Just wait until some kid gets caught in the back yard, peeing on his underwear and then wearing them on his head. He will be branded for life as some pervert and spend years in "counselling", all becasue his yuppie parents let him watch some evil wildman on the Discovery Channel!
