Most sought after Busse Models?

The NMSFNO would serve well, for your show.

If I had to pick one knife- NMSFNO.

In all seriousness, the NMSFNO would fill your one knife category.

I was skeptical of all the hype about this blade but I recently picked one up and its a great knife, it can chop, baton, its nimble in hand and looks cool, and is even a decent thrower. Skinning may be its downfall.

Other good choices to look at are the Sarsquatch, B11 with Sar 3, fusion battle mistress with active duty... and the list goes on

For a generic camp knife, the NMSFNO does a lot of what you need. Chop, slice, baton, and more. I probably wouldn't try skinning with it as it isn't as nimble as a smaller blade would be, but it is potentially possible. I picked mine up for a little over $400, and it's worth every penny. Good luck in the hunt for your Busse white whale.

I bought an NMSFNO specifically to be my user Busse.
It appears to possess all of the best qualities of the breed for an outdoors knife.
Now if I could just bring myself to take it outside and use it....

Top knife in the photo.

NMSFNO for the win. After owning 30+ different mondels, it would unequivocally be "the one."

There is a reason you dont see too many on the exchange - people keep them to use.

Runner up for me would be the SARsquatch - one of the most underrated Busse of them all (next to the Sus Scrofa, of course - and I'm serious!!!)

Then BWM and TMDSF.

Monte,

Those are some Great photos of some great knives.

I think the original question raises more questions than simple answers offer.

Most sought after over all, or in the last ten years of Production, or even the last 5 years of Production.

Popular raises the question of overall sales, which the raises the question of Popular for what use?

With better definition comes better questions and with better questions comes better answers.

Just a thought.

Real Talk,

By "Most sought after Busse Models?", I believe you are asking which ones for USE and not collecting. Fairly recent good models for use are the Basic 11 or Basic 10 (I prefer the B11), coupled with a Basic 4 (the thinner .15" thick model). Many of the older ones like the SHBM, SHSHII, etc. are higher priced because of added collector's value over the years. Along with Jerry Busse knives are those made by Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard (the SY 511 and 311, both 3/16" thick, are also currently available and are great choices) - you can order direct from http://busseknives.com. Best wishes with your show!

Gene

Some of the old school Swamp Rats are among the all time epic designs IMHO. Different steel and different feel, but just as unique and bomb proof as Busse Combat!

In a 'one knife' scenario, I'm in agreement with the NMSFNO. It's big enough to chop effectively, durable enough to baton, but by choking up and using the choil more delicate tasks can be performed. As you can see, I've gotten lots of use out of mine. :D
