Mug Shots

Hey all, I'm sorta new here but have been reading the forum for awhile. Here's me on a recent hunt

Sick gear Sir, did you bag those wabbits with your bow? You must be a hell of a shot!

Any tips on where to pick up a basic traditional bow for archery/hunting? Mike - It looks like you would be a good person to way in on this as well. I really want to get into it but don't want to spend more than like $250

Thanks for the kudos, I don't connect often but I do often enough to put a bunny in the pot now and then. Its really the rule of odds, the more wood the flies the better are your chances.

PSE puts out some good first timer recurves at a good price, I started out with a PSE Impala. You could probably pick one up for $200 new. Most Cabela's carry them.

For a variety of reasons I can't stick my mug on the internet, but here's a shot of me in the Negev desert.

Wow!! Quail would be a blast. There's really no bird hunting in my area other than grouse and thats a 2 1/2 hour drive and they're few and far between. I've been playing with the idea of making some hydroplaning arrows and hunting ducks but nothing's come to fruition yet. All in due time. :)

Ah, the trail gourmet. Looks good. From previous posts I know that you have a dog that looks straight out of The Road Warrior, and a girl friend who could do a whole calendar on her own.

Hope you folks settle on a theme and put together a calendar for WSS.

OK... I'll play too..

Here is one of me (on the right) with one of my Best Friends at a Ken Hackathorn 3-Gun class..

Hey Mike, you're a lucky dude, got a great family.

Everytime I see a long bow it reminds me of one of my earliest boyhood heros. Are you familiar with a long bow archer named Howard Hill who held the distance shooting record for many years. I believe he could fire an arrow over 400 yds on a good day. He also made a film about African Bow Hunting called Tembo.

Thanks for the pics.

Raindog, what's the rifle?

Oh man, all these trad archery pictures are bringing back memories... bought my first recurve back in 1992, was a Bear hunter for 150 bucks... I'd love to get me a longbow and get back into some 3D shoots!

Just looked it up and there is a club in town. My wallet hurts all ready! :(

Ok I will play as well, pic is of my son & I in Colorado, we stopped at the Royal Gorge on the way home from a camping trip(wife took pic) Glad to put a face with many I have talked to or dealt with..:D
