Multi Knife Systems

When they start making these again, a two knife system will be easy...

for me, 'the field' is usually around town and the house.
Usually I have a ~3" fixed blade with me, and sometimes a folder or kiradashi as well.

When in the woods, my new setup is a small ~1lb hatchet, a 3" fixed-blade knife with a full size handle on my pack, and a backup belt knife or folder. Then there's a multitool stashed in the pack for general contingency.

I was brought up on the BSA hatchet, belt knife and a boyscout folder.
I have recently been swayed to the large knife crowd, so I have to agree with Trade.
New production RBK, BK-16 and a smaller blade, probably a folder in Stainless.

If I am going out by myself to woodbum my trio is

A old thrift store made in the USA carpenters hatchet I modded to more of a hawk
A knife I made myself 3/16" thick 4 3/4" blade
an old ulster scout I refurbished

If I am going camping with the family my trio is
Fiskars 24" axe
BK2
SAK Huntsman

sometimes I sub the huntsman for the ulster as well.

I used to carry ATON of stuff on me when i was in the field, But that changed fast when i had to spend 3 days in the woods with nothing but my bike and pack. Since then i found all i need is a small Hawk ( CS Trail Hawk ) A Fixed blade ( Mora No.2 or Fallkniven F1 ) and a SAK ( Vic Camper or huntsman). I dont understand why i needed to carry so much with me before

Yeah It mostly depends if I'm going out to do other things or to sit around camp and play around with knives. Sometimes I'll bring a little extra anyway just in case but I usually boil down to two or three blades.

Generally I carry a Bk4 (with remora attached) and a Bk14..
