Multi Knife Systems

I always bring my Eskabar.

And a chopper of some kind. I never can decide which type of chopping tool I like the best. I try to be proficient with each type.

The Estwing is new (needs to be sharpened as the factory edge was mediocre) and the Wave is also new. I think these two items, coupled with my BK14, will work well in just about any circumstance near my house. For backpacking, I'd probably switch the axe to a BK2 (I don't have a 9 yet)

I have an estwing that is older than I am (not really saying a whole lot) that has served me well for years

That's what I've heard about Estwings - there are better options out there, but the Estwing will last at least a few decades.

they're decent for what they are but yeah as far as axes and hatchets go, there are some, lets say, more refined choices :D

What do you recommend?

I really liked my Gransfors Bruks and my Wetterlings until some D-wad stole them out of my Jeep last year taught me not to leave things I like out of my sight

I still have my Husqvarna Forest axe up at school that's pretty good for the money, and one of my friends has a WoodlandPro 6'lb that's just awesome (been contemplating getting one for a while now, they aren't too expensive for how they preform, ~$130)

I have an Estwing leather handle hatchet from my grandfather that is 40+ years old and still in great shape. Recently, I've begun carrying my Estwing campers axe when I go ice fishing. Strapped to my pack it's light enough but handy for firewood when we build a fire. No worries about breaking it either so I'm confident to lend it out:D
