Multiple EDCs

I carry three daily.

Busse AD is my big job cutting tool and break things knife. Carried inside the waistband.

Buck Lancer is the P.O. non-offensive slip joint. Lives front left pocket.

Vic. Field Master to fix things. Lives front right pocket.

I don't find it excessive in fact I've cut way back with age.:)

At work I carry my primary knife RRP (440V SE Millie) and my secondary knife IWB (D2 Para or M4 Bradley).

.... or if find myself using both PE and SE regularly they both end up in the back pocket.

I As A Rule Edc Two, S90V Military Front Right And M4 Bradley Right Back Pocket.

On The Weekends I Get Carried Away A Little And Bring My CalyIII Along For The Ride :D

I carry, 3 knives...

One to play with.
One for envelopes and boxes, Plastic Zip-tie, ect.
The third is my big blade, OBVIOUSLY FOR ZOMBIES......AND I do zombie will show up within the next 25 years..

Swiss Climber or Angler front right cargo pocket for mostly opening cans of food. One Large blade Right pocket. And one smaller blade on my belt. A swiss tool in my back pack since I drive an old car and my tools are limited. I dont think that is a lot. Laws here allow me to carry any knife that does not exceed 10cm so while I have that privilege I will use it to the fullest of enjoyment!

I have hazy memories of the days when I carried one knife: typically a SS Dragonfly. Of course, back then I was subject to rather more oppressive knife laws…

These days I typically carry these:

Large knife in front right pocket — usually a large regular Sebenza, but for the past week or so it's been an Emerson Commander. Pretty imposing, and just plain fun to hold, but the Sebenza is much better at slicing apples.

Small knife in back right pocket — a Kershaw Chive (with the damascus blade), Spyderco Lava, or a Spyderco Cricket. Sometimes a smaller blade does the job better; it's kinda hard to trim cuticles with a 3.75" blade. I might drop this if I don't want to look too crazy, or if I'm wearing an OWB holster: it gets in the way.

Something with a bottle opener in back left pocket — either a Skeletool CX or a Vic alox Cadet. I've been carrying the Skeletool a lot, because pliers are handy, and I bite my nails, which renders the SAK rather inaccessible.

I don't carry anything sharp on my keys: they're already too heavy, and it saves TSA annoyance.

Various bags and vehicles have more sharps and tools, of course!

Classic SD on my keychain goes everywhere. On my days off from work I'll carry my Benchmade 14205 as well. Leather Wave (original version) is always in my car. So when I'm driving on my day off I'm packing three blades :)

A Rat 4, Spyderco Tasman, and random Japanese serrated wharncliffe sit around the apartment as playthings.

I carry one clipped to the front pocket and have a backup on my keychain. If you forced honest answers out of most people who carry multiple knives, I think many will admit that the redundancy is unnecessary but still good fun. Some more legitimate reasons would be folders and fixed blades, plain edge and serrated, a sheeple knife and a bigger knife, etc.

I carry a ~3" EDC knife clipped to my right-front pocket along with a Vic SAK Classic for office sheeple.

We had cake for a co-worker's birthday and the whole department gathered around. The cake from Costco (yummy by the way) was wrapped in a tough high mil shrink-wrap that mere fingers could not puncture or tear. So the call went out, "Anybody have a knife?". Well, my boss knew that I carried and volunteered me saying "...he's got a BIG knife". All eyes turn to me and 2 dozen people including my senior manager were waiting for me to pull out my "BIG knife". So I reach into my pocket and pulled out my VIC Classic and to my surprise there was a collective "Awwwe!" along with bad impressions of Croc Dundee "That's not a knife!" It seemed like they wanted to see the big ol' Rambo knife. But, my SAK quickly cut off the top of the shrink wrapping and we had cake. :D I will always play it safe in those situations just in case there is that one person (female democrat liberal ;)) that is threatened and reports me to HR.

I also carry a larger folder in my backpack for those "hard use" situations. Usually a Benchmade 710-D2 or Zero Tolerance ZT0300.

I'm like Caffeinepirate in that a SAK Classic SD is always on the keychain. I always have another knife in another pocket but it varies with my mood and what I'm doing -it could be a Griptilian, Sodbuster, Buck 110, a SAK Alox Soldier, a SAK OHT, a stockman, or even an Opinel #8. I do seem to carry the Soldier more often than the others, though.

Queen Country Cousin (sodbuster) in shirt pocket or watch pocket, Opinel No 8 in right front pocket, Mora fixed blade (resheathed in a nice leather sheath) rides diagonal behind the belt.

Always a Vic Recruit, for culinary purposes and fine work, and Case Caliber as a backup for those tasks, a SOG Flash II as a primary and self-defense, Buck Vantage Pro as a backup to those tasks, SOG Powerassist for the tools, not the blades.

I technically have 3 knives on me.

1) Mini Swiss army knife with tweezers, toothpick, file, and scissors.
2) Mini-keychain knife with bottle opener/screwdriver (which I use a lot) and a file.
3) Some sort of tactical folder clipped to my right front pants pocket (usually an Endura 4 Wave or a Kershaw Whirlwind) that I use for general cutting tasks.

The first 2 I carry for the tools that they have, not the cutting blade.

I used to carry two knives but I like simplicity and less weight so now I only carry one. Plus I found myself only using one of the knives so it was pointless for my uses to carry two. The only purpose it could serve was to get me locked up because where I live it's illegal to carry a knife for self defense purposes and that just doubles my chances of a cop thinking that's why I'm carrying.
