MWKK04 Thread

Glad you made it home safe Dan! Here's about a third of the pics I'm going to upload, the rest will have to wait until tomorrow. Convention-goers feel free to add your own comments, after all it was your show. Thanks again everyone. http://www.villagephotos.com/viewpubimage.asp?id_=8433833

If the URL doesn't work please let me know, for some reason I can't see the pics on this computer. Hopefully it's just a problem on my end, but somehow I doubt it.

Okay Dan...I'll get some pics of it tomorrow after work. For now, I've uploaded a new batch of my pics...the last bunch ended with 100016, my Lowes bucket Kuhkri display case (idea courtesy of Bruise!). This batch includes our Saturday morning breakfast, Tom's and Hollow's tents out back, some shots of Hollow chopping away (what looks like smoke are actually chips flying), you at the BBoB tables and the sale itself. It was great that everyone got something they wanted to take home with them! Thanks for the great selection Uncle Bill!!!

Yes, you and I stayed pretty busy...that explains why we were up so late...you with the etching on your Patang, and me working my JKW sheath project. I've got to say though...the new sheath lives up to the reworked JKW with it's polish, sharpening, choil and Ferrous's thumbpad engraving to a "T".

I also have to say a special Thanks to Hollow for the delicious deer sausage for breakfast this morning!!!

SHMBO (Bev) was thrilled with the condition of the house, so a special thanks for that to all of you...it's nice to have such responsible visitors. From now on, all of you are welcome back any time as I will no longer allow blood relatives to visit since they can't measure up to you!

Hollow - SWMBO sends you a big hug and kiss for the green egg...she had never seen one before either! She's going to save it for Easter breakfast.

BTW Dan...the things we were looking at early this morning were just the on call duty ones... :-)

 :D

Great Pics guys!! Looks like you had a great time! You all did learn something, right? Nasty hows your SWMBO doing?

I knew you were holdin' out on me, Nasty....:D

... if only - well I think I am just a bit too far away to attend a khon - thank you for letting us participate via the very nice photos!

Hey! That's my new Delta 1x42 and my old buffer! I'm almost like famous now!

Looks like that Delta is going to become part of the TO&E for the Cantina.

(Checked out Harbor Freight store in Columbus on way home. Lots of really skinky-looking tools - made in China. What was it that HF was supposed to be a good source for?)

Best price around for a "mity-vac" for stabilizing wood at home.

I got that 1" wide sanding strip paper there....$2 a roll - works great on handles.

heeeehehee! That makse me feel vicariously almost like famous now too!
:D:D:D

Hey, anyone grab pix of our water-jug cuttings? And I know there are some movies out there of some of the rope cutting...

I sent one of the rope cutting to either Nasty or Pen to post.

maybe Nasty has it....I'd like to see it too...:D

Yep, after talking to Warren about his and the cost, I have to have on of these beauties. I would without a doubt become a convex grind guy, and probably would try my had at knifemaking as well.

At $99 bucks I think I'll go buy stock in Delta! An awesome tool for everything we do! I wonder it it'd be possible to replace the disk sander with a buffing wheel somehow?

Thasswhatimean! I figured you'd have to shell out multiple hundreds for such a wonderful machine, but for the price of a deluxe Dremel or Dewalt Drill kit, this is the way to go!
