My 6th book goes to print!!

How can we purchase a copy (other than by going to the show, which is not going to be possible for me)?

Thanks,

JD

Hello Joss,

Tim Hancock will have all the books. If you are interested
in one of the 100 numbered copies you should contact Tim soon....

Already taken are #1-7, # 92-100 and I think # 54 for Marcel.
By the way, Marcel, Tim has it written down.

Tim Hancock's contact info is:

Thanks everyone for the kind words. I'm sure you'll
like the book, I loved every moment doing it.... :)

All the best,

The more I see of this book, the more I want to see.
I really appreciate that Edmund, Tim and yourself having spend the time and money to bring us these books.

Do you think it would be okay to post some of the actual
facing-page spreads as "teasers"?
All the Best,
David Darom (ddd)

David, Although I don't know the forumrules on that one, I for sure wouldn't mind if you did.:thumbup:

I don't see posting photos from your and Tim's book as any different from maker's posting photos of their knives. But I'm not a moderator. ;) :)

I Believe members would enjoy seeing a few pages.

A 9-day photography session, May 2008

A time out in the photography for the book caught Tim at his main work bench,
hand touching up one of the parts for his Dogbone Dagger in the making.
Documenting the full process of making the #1 Dogbone Dagger for the book
took all of 9 days to complete and is displayed on 60 pages.....

I used two cameras, one for the high quality documentation and one
to capture what I was doing from the "sidelines"....

All the best,

Very warm forward by Tim. Knowing about each of the makers he describes gives it true impact. He is a good one.

Nice work.

Yes, Coop, both Edmund and Tim are two of the "good ones",
in every imaginable interpretation of the words....

I was blessed with the chance to do their illustrated biographies,
and feel very lucky to have been given the chance to do so....

My last of the "teasers" for now are two facing pages from the
display of 116 chosen pieces out of the 865 knives Tim made as
of October 2008...

David,

Consider me "teased" to the point of submission. I have been seduced and my library must grow!

Great work, thank you for the preview.

Cheers!
Rob

Thanks, Rob. If you feel "teased" can you imagine how excited
Tim and I are, waiting to hold in our hands the printed book....:)
