My benchmade has been lost, and i need a new knife

Well, I went to smokey mountain knife works intent on getting a benchmade of some sort, but found out the had very few

So I decided to check out the spydercos and ZTs.

I told them what I had lost and asked what they recommended. They let me see a few spydercos and a couple ZTs

And when I got a zt in my hand, I liked it. So, I got a zt 0350 (I think, just bought what I liked)

And this thing feels bomb proof.

Also picked up a work sharp, get to try it tonight on a cheaper knife of mine

You'll really like that ZT 0350. Everyone raves about them. I like the ZT 0301 better but it's kinda BIG!! Are you still going to look for a Benchmade? The ZT assisted opening is a little faster IMHO although the "axis assist" is pretty swift.

Glad you finally found a new knife.

I agree with the BM 710. You can get one in M390 for $150. I think I'm going to do it myself. Wonderful steel.
I love my BenchMades and Spydercos. I have a Para2 and it's great, but I want to try the 710. I have a BM 690 for yrs now, and it's good too.
Customer Service is great with both companies.

I have got to play with tw ZT a little bit (had a 2 hr car ride home)

This thing is sharper than any other I have gotten out of the box, but best of all, after handling it a decent amount, I try to pick out flaws etc.... But can only find one, and it's just a scratch from the sharpening process. I noticed it on a couple other ZTs that I saw, so I believe it's something with manufacturing. Which it doesn't change function, so who cares

I will say again, this thing is bomb proof though

And as for the worksharp that I picked up, well I like it too.....though it will be a very very long time before the ZT sees it, it is nice for my other knives, a machete is getting sharpened tomorrow with it

Thanks for all the advice guys, I will still look for another benchmade, but not for a while.
