That sucks a lot Clich. I agree with others that you should keep making noise with UPS, but I'd contact SMKW first. They should make it right one way or the other.

I had something similar recently, tracking info said delivered, but no package (and I have it shipped to work = locked mail box). Called USPS several times, turns out our guy delivered it to the wrong address. I was shocked I got it unopened 5 days after "delivery conformation".
 
Stick with the facts you know to be true. You simply didn't recieve your package. It's speculation that it was stolen. Tell SMKW and UPS regardless of what the scan said, you never got your package. You paid for it (as well as the shipping cost) and expect to get a knife. Period. Get pissed and keep pestering them. Good luck man.
 
Man sorry to hear clinch. It's a big fear anytime I have something shipped.

I'd maybe take the cash you have and buy a wireless camera for your front.
 
wow, suckage. here' the drill, since you are not the customer, and UPS should have told you that:

a) call SMKW and say "UPS says the package is delivered, there is no package, ANYWHERE, we looked for an hour"

b) you paid insurance, SMKW will now have to chase UPS down and get the signature of the receiver. no signature? then it's the word of the driver.

c) ask SMKW to immediately send you another knife, expressed, via fedex, SIGNATURE REQUIRED

and of course, since you know UPS people, you bitch long and hard, and get that lying bastid fired. course, he COULD have delivered it, and someone stole it. sorry, that's the driver's fault for being an idiot.

if you can, yeah, i'd be installing a web cam soon that records movement and takes movies or still pictures, and can email them to you. OR a hunter animal cam that works using invisible light.

look in the nearby dumpsters and trash for your empty box. perhaps.

if you know guys at the hub, there is a GPS confirmation on those keypads, UPS keeps extreme tight track of their employees
will at least clear up if the driver actually WENT to your driveway

if they don't, you challenge the credit card. you tell them that. you also tell them that a) you will be informing the Becker forum and the world of this, and b) you know people. powerful people. who WILL rip them a new one.

also lookout for the kid in your neighborhood who has your knife, and kidney stab him or her :)

Clich - This sucks big time, dude! Stories like this don't do much to renew my faith in mankind. I hope it has a happy ending for you.
 
It is possible, but i doubt that the UPS person took it. I work in a prison, have for almost 24 yrs. The stories i hear would blow your mind. Anyways, it is VERY common for criminals to follow UPS/FED-EX/USPS vehicles, & steal the packages. Its like going on a shopping spree & not paying for it. Cameras really don't matter. Most wear a skin colored mask or nylon over their face so that from a distance no one can tell but if they are videoed or a picture taken, it is plenty to distort so no ID can be made. I am sorry for your trouble. Most likely but not 100%, it is probably someone you know/knows you & knows you are into knives.

I would not let this slide. I would persue this.
 
Sorry to hear that bro.... I had the same thing happen at xmas time.... With some nfl gear..... Called the e store I bought it from and they reshipped for me... Even sent I it Sig required 2nd day....I would call smkw and see what they may do.... Good luck

That sucks, brother. It really does. I always have a fear of buying stuff online just for that reason alone. Atleast the drivers you guys get are a little smart...The one I get is completely stupid. He doesn't hide packages, packages that require signature he will just sit them on the front porch, etc. If it has that address on it, he just sits it on the porch. Doesn't knock on the door, doesn't leave a note, nothing. I have a knife coming in today and I've been worried all week about it because the site I bought it from straight up confused me on the shipping options. It's worth alot, and somehow I chose the basic option with NO insurance. I have been going crazy...Trust me.

Good luck, Clich. I hate to see this happen to a fellow Beckerhead brother, and especially having to lose a knife that's so awesome.
 
They say they have proof of delivery? I say produce the documentation with my signature that says I recieved it. I'd also call SMKW and pitch a fit. I gave you money and did not recieve said product. UPS says delivered, but I did not recieve. You forced stupid UPS on me instead of offering USPS. The only proof of delivery is the drivers say so. I WANT MY KNIFE!

I'm glad I do not have a crime problem around here. I have boxes from Amazon on my doorstep constantly.

OH! And you should keep the BK15s big brother on your hip at all times now just in case you happen to be in the right place at the right time...

I f*cking HATE thieves!!
 
Smkw customer service isn't open weekends. Out of luck till Monday. Damn
