My bk15 was "misplaced", then found, all is well

I has a similar incident happen several years ago. UPS said they delivered no package at my place. I called the vendor that I bought the knife from. There were a couple of calls back and forth with them and ups to determine what happened. UPS said the driver left the package on my porch. Interesting I live d in a 2nd floor apartment with interior entrance no porch. I asked if he stood on the sidewalk and threw it onto my patio. Ultimately the vendor 511 Tactical replaced my order and filed the claim with UPS. It has to be the shipper to make the claim not the customer. I'm sure SMKW will make this right with you. It was a little bit of a hassle for a week or so to get everything straight.

I hate that company. I have very little good experience with ups. I will pay more in shipping to not deal with them. I put signature required on my order, do it every time I hear I have to go with ups.

Sorry to hear buddy.

Man, that really sucks. None of us get to see the clich moded bk15 this weekend, either! Keep bugging UPS. I've had drivers leave them at the same house number three block East of me and they sent the driver out again to verify where he delivered. I've even had them find them still on the truck.

I mailed a fallkniven a1 and cold steel oss to a guy in california...post office sliced the package open
and stole the knives. it was only insured for $50 and that is what
they reimbursed.

I took a big hit.

That is terrible if you don't get your package. Keep us posted on what you find out from UPS and the vendor. If you can't get reimbursed then maybe the BH's can take up a collection for you. About $.50 each should do it. I can't get my own tweener but I would be happy to chip in on the relief fund.

I have not lost a package yet but I live in fear of that. I have packages to me shipped to my office address so someone is there all the time to receive them. I have some retired friends that receive a lot of packages. Their front porch is a bit enclosed and they also have a big wooden box sitting there that the drivers can place packages in so they aren't seen from the street. The wooden box fits in with their other junk setting on the porch and looks innocent.

Been there on this same thing with UPS Clich. It is there responsibility to make sure you get the package but SMKW will have to file the claim. Every UPS package is convered by $100 insure without additional fees. Make sure you get your point accross with SMKW. They should take care of you. UPS will do an investigation and run GPS tracking on where the vehicle was when the driver logged the package as delivered. If not let me know. I know some higher-ups there (No pun intended ;))

I'll call them and pose as your lawyer if you'd like. "Good day sir, I happen to be representing Mr. Clichkenwallerner...Chicconerwallan...Chewinterbacker......"

:D

Unacceptable. Hell hath no fury like a Beckerhead removed from their new Becker. SMKW should take care of you if they're running a reputable business... and want me to buy a 15 from em come next week.

Keep bitching even after they say no, they will relent.
If they won't make it right tell us and we can all call and complain.

This is why I have my UPS packages delivered to work, they only deliver during business hours and our UPS guy has always been good to me so far.

Some do it to hide stuff from their wives :D I do it because I don't trust a package sitting on my doorstep when nobody is home.

I realize that's not a viable option for everyone though.

Luckily, I've personally had good luck with UPS. There used to be a driver that would notice my name on the package and would bring it to where I worked at the time, so I didn't have to wait. He was a good guy and would hang out for ten or fifteen minutes once in a while and bs.

The knife was NOT stolen, it was merely delivered one day later than Clinch wanted it to be.

He should ask the mods to lock this thread as it is pretty unfair to SMK and UPS, IMHO.

right, he found it later. for some reason ;)

perhaps fair to blame UPS for "losing it", "denying it", and then it shows up between 9:30 pm and 12:30 am? righttttt :) driver messed up, and was either forced to correct it (actually find it and place it), or it was put at a neighboring house instead, and the neighbor did the right thing... but that means the driver really messed up.

also, i'm inclined to leave the thread open for polite discussion :)

Agreed.

But-

The bottom line is that it was not stolen.

A mistake that is quickly corrected is not something that a company should be dragged through the mud over.

Which was my point.

I didn't drag anyone through the mud. Merely stated facts. It was tracked as delivered and wasn't. Tracking even said front porch.. after calling ups they told me to pound sand. That happened. There was no mud by anyone but themselves. If they left it with a neighbor then tracking needs to state that (which is an option on their boards I worked there remember) they messed up twice. I stated facts. I still don't know how it got to my but I'm sure it wasn't becuz of ups good deeds.

I assumed stolen since I have no private front porch and tracking stated delivered to it. I was dragging the criminal I thought took it through the mud, who is nameless bcuz it didn't happen.
