Serious - You are truly lucky to still have that finger attached. Let be careful out there people! Busses are not toys!! (trust me - I have learned!)

Well, since we're posting pics of self mutilation, I guess I shouldn't hold out, and since most are already scared for life seeing Dan in a banana hammock, what's a little blood and cut skin

man this thread went the completely wrong direction lol. I rarely get any good pics of the cut but have been bit a couple times.

Similar thing happened to me with my Izula (Esee knife). First night I had it I took it out of the sheath with my left index finger holding the bottom of the sheath instead of pushing it off with my right thumb. At first I knew I had to have cut myself but didn't feel anything and just hid my finger. Then I pulled it back in front of me and the thick dark red quickly started pouring out of my finger. Turns out my bone was the only thing that prevented me from going deeper. I lost a few ounces of blood within a few minutes. I woke my wife up, had her run and grab my trauma bag and patched myself up enough to get to the ER. My bathroom looked like a murder scene! My wound looked a lot like yours with the stitches. I still have no feeling in that part of my finger 3 years later.

Just figured I'd share. I know your pain.

hey man, I chopped open my foot with an ax last spring and had to get it stitched up, so I ALMOST know how you feel. Heal up quick!

Dave, didn't you know grizzlies are native to MT? And... now at least one has INFI in his pawssession. Wait until you see me in a Yak hide ghillie suit with a SARsquatch in one hand and a Zilla in the other. :eek: (Actually, that sounds like the plot for a bad B movie :foot:)

I've whacked my shins many times with a maul, never bad enough to gouge myself though.
 
Nasty pics here!!! Hope all recovered ok and I also wish that 2012 bring a lot fewer malfunction. Some of you are just lucky not to have lost parts:eek:
 
A few week's ago I posted pics of my son after he cut his leg open with a 511. He ended up missing a week from school and hobbled around here like a old crippled. All is well now and has a scar for a reminder. Hope you heal quickly. Cut's are going to happen sooner or later, I don't think it can be helped if you use and handle knives all the time. :)
 
Oh that ASH looks guilty to me-plenty of physical evidence in the pics. Your lucky she didn't take your hand off. If you want to break up with her,I understand totally, just send her to me and I will keep her locked up where she can't hurt anyone else.

It was a crime of passion, she caught me cheating with a Strider the day before. I figure as long as I don't stray again, I'm probably safe.
