My Busse landed me in the ER!

You should get rid of that knife immediately. Just send it to me and I will take care of the the disposal.

Holy Crap!!!! Looks like some pretty good cuts there, guys! My stomach turned lookin' at those pictures... Now I remember why I couldn't be a nurse :D Hope you heal well!

It was a crime of passion, she caught me cheating with a Strider the day before. I figure as long as I don't stray again, I'm probably safe.
you will never be safe since you aleady living with the addiction. You can try treatment but it has failed for anyone else that has ever tried. it is hopeless. repent!

I learned the "don't hold the wood" lesson as a kid of 7 when I watch my Dad chop off the end of his left thumb while splitting kindling, then turn and spray blood all over me yelling "get a towel!" I found the end of his thumb in the wood chips while Mom got the wound wrapped. We put his bleeding stump and the end in a dixie cup of ice from the beer cooler and set off for the hospital(yeah,he grabbed 2 for the ride) Luckily they got it sewn back on,kinda.Never did look quite right after that, but it sure did make an impression on me on what not to do while chopping wood.A few years later I taught myself the "don't wipe off a blade you just sharpened on your jeans" rule when I finished up with my Case Sodbuster(that Dad had my Uncle Bobby run out and buy the day I was born, still got it 40 years later) and,not paying attention, wiped that wicked sharp XX across my left thigh, opening up a 4" gash a 1/2" deep, and ruining a brand new pair of levi's(still got the scar too) Dad tried to be mad at me,but I reminded him he didn't have to hunt around my room for body parts and we laughed it off on the way to get me stitched up.Ahh the good old days!

yeah those 2007 SEs were ridiculously sharp, and had rather thin edges

Hope you're feeling better by now. Get back on that horse but use a thicker glove.

good gore thread.
To avoid in someway this, do you know of some gloves to use I´m looking for some protection against cuts, chops and baton´s hits when batoning in the outdoors.

About 10 years ago I know they made kevlar gloves for military/cops performing pat-downs to keep from getting cut/poked by dirty blades or needles. I don't know if they still make them or not, though I would suspect they do and you can google it to find out.

LOL... yes!

That would take all the fun out of it.

head to your local restaurant supply store or ask the butcher at your supermarket where they get theirs and pic up a butcher's mail glove.competition lumberjacks use the same stuff as a sock. it'll stop a swung axe from cutting, but not breaking your bones.but hey,it's easier to get something set and in a cast than to have to find it and sew it back on!
