My curiosity of Rough Rider, needs to be resolved...

Where are you all buying these knives at? I've purchased RR knives from various retailers over the past year and they all were completely dull. Dull to the point I could run the blade up and down my hand with no risk of being cut.

Wow, I am surprised that your's have been so dull. Out of so many knives I have purchased within this past year, my RR knives have proven some of the sharpest. So much so, that one cut me, not once, but twice. I got a little laxed with most of my knives not being so sharp... the RR reminded me that they can cut.. OUCH! LOL! ;)

I have received 7 RR knives from three vendors in the past week. All but one were sharp and that one became sharp after a bit of time with a strop.

I just received my first Rough Rider, a Candy Stripe Canoe....my impression is that its worth about what I paid for it...$15.

It's not anywhere as well made as my Queens, S&Ms, Bulldogs, Bluegrass Winchesters, or Carl Schliepers, but it is of reasonable quality and I am happy with my purchase.

I will say it came sharp enough to push cuts Post-it's.

Based on the one I just received, I'd recommend these Rough Riders if you're on a budget. However, and this is just me personally speaking, I wouldn't want to buy 5 or 6 of these only to realize later I could have purchased one nice slip-joint made by Queen or GEC for what I paid for a passel of Rough Riders.
