My dad, utdjim/Jim Babcock, has passed away

Hello, friends. This thread is old but I'd like bump it thank everyone for their thoughts. Dad has been laid to rest and I'm working on settling his affairs. I want to let you all know that just as life isn't the work of a day, your well wishes carry forward. I'm working on a couple of give-aways that I think Dad would be really happy about.

Hi Rob,

I tried to PM you, but it looks like you don't have it enabled, please check your Dad's pm, I sent you one there, thanks.

If there is any way we can repay some of what he gave to this community please don't hesitate to ask.

My condolences to the family, Jim was a good guy, he will be missed.

My condolences. I'm fairly new to this forum as a registered user, but through my years of searching, his name indeed stands out.

I never had any specific dealings w/ him here, but I do know that he was well-respected and held in high esteem here. We are diminished as a community by his passing.

Wow, I have been out a while and I just saw this.

Rob, I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was a great guy to have here on this forum. He always had a ton of great advice for guys around here. I still have the Mora and Buck saw I picked up from him when I first started out on this forum. My condolences to you and yours and I apologize for not chiming in sooner.

For some reason Jim was the first person I thought of when I woke up this morning.
Rob, I hope you are doing well this Christmas day. I wish your dad was still with us.

Rob, I am so sorry, I just came across this (with the forums changing, I am not familiar with it)

Jim gave an amazing amount amount of information to this community, its very sad to hear.

Rob, with your permission, I would love a copy of your poem, would the be possible?

Hello. It's not my poem, just one that has always held meaning for me. It's old enough that I think it's in the public domain, so you can do as you wish with it.

I've been very busy, and there are members here I've meant to contact but haven't had time. Still working thru some give-away options.

Thanks to you all for the friendship you showed my dad.

Rob
