Thanks for the info and confirmation on cooking/heating the unit. Seems like a great idea to me as well. I am always going to be wedded to tins or Otter/Pelican Boxes for these and other uses but I am going to look into one of the steel "bottles" as well.

Oh, a Betalight, proper, is something quite a bit different.

Trasers might be referred to as a "Betalight," but that's actually misleading. A Betalight is a specific device that is also powered by radiation-exciting-gas like the Traser but it has a lid and whatnot so you can prevent the light from escaping, etc.

Oh yeah, dont know what happened there, sorry. Yeah I did mean the pelican cases. The steel mug idea sounds great, I wonder if they do a case similar to the pelican in steel that is not too heavy ?
