Well, my first traditional was a SAK Fieldmaster--I've had that for over 20 years and used it countless times in I-don't-know how many countries for everything and anything... but since then I've had a couple of Buck 110's pass through my hands (as well as a custom that I'll pass along to my son), I've picked-up a single bladed alox SAK, a GEC #76 stag Outlaw Jack, a #42 Trader with copperhead jigged bone, and a #42 Trapper with cocobolo scales... I love them all. My daughter has her eye on the Trader... soon, but not yet. What I love about traditionals is the physical, palpable connection with the past. Both my grandfathers always had a slipjoint on them--they had fixed blades too. Knives were simply a part of everyday life, and when they used them it was (almost) always without violent intent... WWII was different, of course. So, count me in; I'd love to pick-up something that I don't have and has some age on it. Thanks for the chance, and for your generosity.
