I have been thinking about what my dream folding knife would look like, from what I have seen out there I would have to combine the fallowing elements.

The Emerson Persian knife blade shape (it’s just perfect in my mind for my needs)

The handle shape and skull crusher spike on the end of the handle of the Benchmade Bedlam.

Titanium gunner grips, like the ones Strider use.

Is it possible?

What existing knife elements would you combine to make your ideal knife.

What about the wave hook?

Im very fast with my BM Bedlam, I’m experimenting with an Emerson waved folder, I’m not set on my preferences yet (the Bedlam is my first and only folder).
If I do end up liking the wave, I will definitely send it to you, Charlie.

Dream knife-Andrew Demko AK-47 with carbon fiber handles, damascus pomel, and ELMAX blade steel.

For now my ZT 0551 fits the bill.

Cool! Make sure you experiment with reverse grip draw. You'll have to do that from your left pocket with the Emerson.

Thanks :)

4 inch blade 154CM clip-point, nice belly, full flat grind, 4mm+ blade thickness, G10 handle medium thickness, Tri-ad lock, Thumbstuds AND Emerson wave, About 8.5 inches overall, under 5 oz, 4-way clip, nested steel liners.

Oh, and under $50.

How about a Buck custom shop 110 with finger grips, rivets, nickel silver bolsters, walnut or amazon blood wood grips and satin finished O-1 @ rc 61-62

or:

Spyderco Ed Schempp Persian w/deep red to burgundy linen micarta, high polish glossy finish, nickel silver bolster and Cruware @ rc 62

automatic (thats just my style), about a 3" blade. drop point blade or maybe tanto (just started experimenting with the tanto blade) basically either the protech TR1 or the TR2 seems perfect to me.

My ideal folder would be the blade shape I love the best , out of all my knives. Kershaw's Starky Ridge

I love the needle-like point , the deep belly , lack of recurve or serrations. This blade shape is perfect for me , if I could have one in a framelock I would be happier than a clam.
I did try to see what it would cost to have my Starky converted into a framelock but it is over my budget right now.

The Emerson Gentleman Jim is one you might want to have a look at. It's on my short list. Of course, it doesn't have all your required features.

Is this a current production folder?

Ideal folder? That is a tough one. I like a folder that fills my hand and has more than one blade which generally means a slip joint of some kind. I am thinking about ordering a GEC #23 (Pioneer model) which has two blades and a bit over 4" closed. I think I will like this one a lot. I also like the large Sunfish pattern they produce, so you can see I am a bit of a traditionalist and like large-ish pocket knives.

I also like it to be made of pretty good carbon steel. 1095 seems to work well for me.

But, I really like the Spyderco Delica (VG-10) and I suppose I would really like the Gayle Bradley if I owned it.

Ideal folder is the one that I commissioned Darrel to make almost 1.5 years ago. I like how he takes some of my feature requests and runs with it.
