Anyone know of a custom maker how could make my folder a reality?

Alan Davis is up to anything! He has made me 2 knives to my specs and is working on 2 more! Great guy to deal with and will try his best to make you what you want! Kevin :D

Here is the link to one of mine!

Kershaw Leek with textured (non G10) handles, a thicker blade, a liner lock, and a 4 position bayonet (low rise if you haven't heard it called that) pocket clip.

Edit: Well, maybe not a thicker blade, just a thicker tip. The tip bends VERY easily.

I may get one of his folders soon, I'm loving the little fixed blade he sold me last week.

How are you going to go about this, i was thinking of doing it to?

Ed, I would guess that a folder that fits your "needs" would apply to less than .1% of the population.. Lol, most dudes arent fighting drug lords for a living.

I got mad respect for you brother. You would really do well with a full commissioned custom. Find a knife maker with a real reputation in the tactical community (Emerson etc.) and see if they will make you your ideal blade.

I would love to see the results :)

here ya are ed, i sent you an email also, i know the thread is over a month old but i figured you come back here anyway,

Needs a wave hook.

I'd buy one if...

5" blade from .200" S35vn. Screws are 4-40 torx. Ti framelock is from .160" with a >.070 cut out. Pivot is .250" and PB bushings. Pocket clip is positioned so there is 1.5" of handle sticking out of the pocket.

And waved.

this scale is 4.75 blade. i was thinking 3v or s90v 3/16ths. frame .160 is plenty (i have tons of it). ti framelock. all chainring bolts 1/4 for pivot 3/16ths for the frame. and i agree no lowrider clip here. leave out enough to get 3 fingers on her out of the pocket.

the .200 blade may be too thick for this blade shape but would look badass. if i went that thick on the blade id probably have a 5/16ths pivot.

I'll take it! Might be on an installment plan for payment but no prob. Also needs to be L/R clip.

That would be a great one bro - if I could tweak it a little I would make it just slightly bubble out in the middle and it will greatly minimize any movement of the knife in hand during a stab, especially with gloves on. That and slightly round the butt more to be able to put some pressure with the thumb.

I don't think I would be able to afford it, but I know some of these guys would really love it.

well the idea was a skull crusher at the back so maybe add more jimping there for greater thumb purchase? and if you saw how big this knife is youd probably think its bubbled enough for good controll. plus the ti would be textured for grippyness all over.

Definitely look forward to seeing photos of it come to life and like the dimensions you mentioned - waiting to hear Edwood's thoughts :D

Would love to see a video of it in hand with a couple different grips and see how it opens.

That drawing is very good!, it incorporates exactly what I like about the two designs. What I don’t like about the BM Bedlam is that the handle scales are kind of slippery, and I have dropped the knife a few times and does handle scales are not holding up very well.

The slim blade profile of the Emerson Persian did very well against Kevlar (something i look for in a knife) the only problem I have with it is the thumb stud on the top is hard to find when wearing gloves, since I do wear gloves when doing direct action type work, and the lack of a top false edge to aid with penetration (the lack of an live edge on the top will keep me from cutting the hell out of my fingers and pants), the flat handle is not all that bad on the Emerson but I would like something a bit more rounded better.
