my new 110

I owned a Harley XR-1000 for 12 years; only Harley I ever wanted...but I've never tried a Zook...they look and sound very nice... :p

...At least the blue & white ones... ;)

My uncle has a Harley bagger and both of my brothers have Kawasaki ninjas.
I prefer the faster acceleration and smooth ride of the rice rockets...
But Harley is well Harley! Cant go wrong with that... :D

Hello, my name is Tim and I am a knife junkie. I mainly purchase hunter folders, fixed hunters, and skinners. Anyhow, my wife surprised me last week with a 110 from cabelas, the stag model with the S30V blade. Talk about sweet! I had noticed that the rest of the 110's were pretty much flat from one end to the other, but the stag model has more of a convex shape to it, it fills the hand a little more. You can see the thickness in the pic. The side photos came out pretty nice too.

Here are the scans of my new AG 110. It's very nice   :D

Wow, you can see a huge difference in the character of the stag! Seems yours has a deep line on one side just like mine.

A couple things on the Gix. you say $5800 for an 04? I would look @ KBB.com first. I would bet that thing would have to be mint, or have a power commander and pipe installed for that price. I eneded up ditching my mint 00 for $2000 cause the resale value of that year model went down the tubes cause it was the last year to have carburetors and old SRAD body style. If there were any major changes besides plastic from 04 to 06 the resale value of the 04 should be kinda crappy. Nowadays the sport bike market is changing like the home PC market. What you had last year after spending stupid amounts of money on isnt even worth half of what you spent.

How did I like my ride? it was pretty nice. I rode with guys that did pretty good in a straight line since they were all ridin 1k's and 750's. Got smoked a lot. No biggie cause they never really practiced scuffing the edges of their tires so I could dive to the inside after they slowed down and stay on the gas with the bike leaned all the way over. Doing 75 on a 25mph offramp is pretty sick.

If I could do it again, I would get a short wheelbase chopper with ape hangers like what Indian Larry used to make. I could never ride the stuff that OCC or West Coast makes. Indian Larry had it right with the nostalgia stuff.

Anyhew, I scored some cash so time to purchase some knifemaking supplies. I am still set on building a workingman's version of the 805 with good blade steel. That would rock for deboning. Guess I could get another s30v 110 also...

Gixxer,,I am opening a new thread to kick the 805 around some.....

Its very nice! thats an understatement JB!!!!!
That looks great! Is it a user :D?

Thanks Jim,

I will be keeping this one in the safe with the other queens :D . I seem to have a hard time taking my Buck knives out and using them.....don't know why. All Buck knives were made to be used ;) sept fer some O them fancy shinny ones with gold etching and such  . This AG stag has some of the best coloration I've ever seen; the scan doesn't do it justice.

Thats definitely some of the best stag I have seen too.... They didn't buff it down smooth, as seems to be the case lately, where it meets the bolsters.!!

I did notice that this weekend at Cabela's in the display cabinet that the stag was as you described on the 110 AG....almost pulled the trigger on another one.:D
