my new 110

Actually, one brand name is Gorilla Glue, Elmer's also markets it as Ultimate glue. I use the Elmer's its a little cheaper. You actually wet the 2 surfaces to be bonded, and the stuff foams up kinda like great stuff as it cures, but nowhere the expansion ratio of GS.

I used to own a black, blue, silver Gixxer 600 2001. Sold it cause I got tired of sitting in traffic and roasting wearing leathers. Kinda took the fun out of it. I could ride @ night, but headlights really dont illuminate the offramps when you are trying to scuff the very edges of your tires. I was one of those guys who do the speed limit in a straight line, and try to hit the offramps as fast as possible.

Took me 5 pages to figure out what a gixxer is.... I need to get out more. :o

Maybe you and Preston could hook up and visit the Big City and see what life is all about... :D

When I read the post by Pack Rat...I just knew that wouldn't get by you Trax:D :p :D. By the way...Elizabeth is getting big we have stoplights now:rolleyes:. Preston

Big City?, Me n Preston, hookup....nah....dont think so   Besides, I don't do big cities.

Was looking at a thread about Mesquite and a table built out of it on another thread here in BF.

I hadn't ever thought much of it, but I have tons of mesquite on the country place. Some that has been on the ground for a few years and naturally some still in the ground. Mom and Dads place in town still has three big ones that I have been threatening to knock over and get rid of.

Anyhow...Will be out there soon for hunting season if some of you want some. Remember, I am clueless about handle woods. Still mulling over whether or not Mrs. PR would call the looney guys and have me hauled away if I go sticking chunks of wood in the food saver. :D :D

ACtually, I think the problem would be not so much having the actual wood chunks gettin vacuum bagged, but what of the resin if it gets into the catch trough in the food saver itself?!?! I guess it could be cost effective if you wanted to do a batch of wood, and not just one set of scales or one handle.

...Hi gixxer...You musta been reading the other thread on how I stabilize wood as well...Sucking the stuff into the "FoodSaver" really isn't a concern because of the use of the mason jar. You never form a vacuum against the actual liquid resins at all. The reason I use a dedicated vacuum pump is that the odor or "esthers" of the hardener is about as stinky as you can imagine and are toxic as well...It's like pouring turpentine in a glass...you can NEVER get the smell out of that glass even though the turpentine is long ago gone...Also remember that you can use that same batch of hardener (resins) over and over again so it's not like you have to reinvest in the stuff each time you do a batch of scales or even just one set...ya just add a little from time to time...:)

I forgot about the mason jar adapter. Hey, what thread are you talking about? I actually tried (a little) to look for it. I am interested.

...gixxer...don't use the mason jar adapter...You could still suck some of that nasty stuff into your machine. I place the mason jar in an old 2 1/2 quart foodsaver cannister. I then use the small hose to create the vacuum in the cannister which transfers it to the mason jar and creates the seal...here's the url for the thread I ws talking about...look at post #2...

Not to get off topic too far here but how'd you like the GSX?
I have been riding Kawasaki ninjas ('05 500 and '06 636) all summer and looking to buy next spring...
Beautiful weather in WI for ridin! Not exactly sure what to purchase.
Anyway back to the 110's!

It's Gixxer's thread...his username begs questions on his cycle... :D

but how'd you like the GSX?

I'd like to know, too. A patron on my route has a GSXR-600, blue & white. Nice looking machine. Seems that 2004 was the year for the blue & whites...There's one in the Buffalo paper for $5800 which sounds reasonable...real reasonable... ;)

Like the ad for ARVN M-16's..."Never fired and only dropped once"... :D

Just curious to know! I suppose they are all kind of alike. They all compete in the same market. I'm sure Goose would recommend a Harley, and I live in WI,
but I just cant spend the $$$$$$$. I have too many Buck Knives to buy yet :D
