Hello BeckerHeads;

This is Moin from Mumbai, India and aspire to beckerhead like you all someday. :)

Been reading the wonderful threads in the becker forum since the last few months and finally decided to post. Received a brand new Bk7 today ( my second becker, had a Bk5), expensive here, cost me about USD 140, shipping, Customs Duty @ 40% + Dealers margin... Anyways, all good things come at a price..

Here are some pics of my Bk7, pan to strip the coating then either mirror polish the blade or have it "cliched" and I am torn between should I be deramping it or not. What was the idea behind having the ramp on the BK7 and the Bk9.

Here's the Bk5 I had to sell to finance another purchase

Here's the Bk7, the sheath is way better than what came with the Bk5

We have our share of Becker Lovers in India. Between me and my friends we have the Bk2, Bk7, Bk5,Bk14,Bk15,Bk16. All outstanding blades. if not for the obscene exchange rate 1 USD - Rs.56, the shipping cost of about USD 30 and the ridiculous customs duty of 40% we would have a lot lot more Beckers in India....

Regards
Moin.

Hello Moin.

You have great taste in knives. :)

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. Its neat to hear there are Becker fans in India.

That's some dedication to Becker's. But honestly they are worth it. Thanks for sharing Moin, now get us some Indian Becker pr0n!

The Clich effect has now gone worldwide !!! Congrats on the new steel. Cant wait to see the mods. Keep us posted.

Congrats on your new knife. Make sure you post some pictures when you make the mods.

Moin... outstanding!! Thanks for the post, very encouraging... sorry to hear about customs... but good thing you got your steel...

bk7 was my first becker.... I don't have it anymore but its the do all combat, camper :D

the thumb ramp gives you better control in defense adn other tasks, some like it others don't.. on the 7 I liked it, on the 9 not so much.. looks like you have your basis covered with the 7 and Izula..

excellent english also, stay cool out there.. :)

What kind of heresy is that? An ESEE taking a free ride on that hard working Becker's sheath!?

Just kidding, I love ESEE too. Sweet new 7, enjoy man.

Thank you all, I hope you gents don't mind my posting pics of some other knives I own, assuming we all are very passionate about knives and edged weapons. I hope I am not violating any forum rules by doing so, but I realise the Becker Section is a community itself within blade forums. :D Please enjoy these pics...

This is a very rare Indian Sword made of "AshthaDhatu" which in Sanskrit implies an alloy of 8 different metals including gold. This is like Wootz Damascus, a lost art. I had this sword appraised by an expert in Indian Arms & Armour. This is very rare and the most valuable piece in my collection. Can't put a date on it as all original markings are gone. The Hilt is typical Hindu Box Hilt.

Mods please delete the posts above if inappropriate to post this in the Becker Forum. Just that I have been lurking here for quite some time now and feel more comfortable here than in the general bladeforums.
