My New Bk7

Looks like somebody needs to take up making his own blades...

Nice work so far, enjoying your progress, and it was neat to see your collection of indian blades. Don't get to see many of those. Have you checked out the Himalayan Imports section also?

Thank you so very much Crimsonfalcon07. I would really love to some day. Learning the proper use of power tools with these small DIY jobs.

Glad you liked my collection of Indian Blades. Yes I did check the HI Section, wanted a WWI MK3 Khuk, but HI don't ship to India due to hassles with customs. Beleive it or not knives, edged weapons with a blade length more than 9 inches are illegal to import/own in most parts of India and require a permit/license. I with great difficulty sourced a few khukries from Khukri House Nepal.

Wow! I just caught this thread and I have to say, Moin, that you have no reason to feel inadequate because Beckers are hard to get in India. You are clearly doing quite well without them!

And besides, Beckerhead is a state of mind, not a measure of accumulation.

Forced Patina done using white vingear, dabbed the blade using tissue sokaed in warm white vinegar. Repeated the process several times to get the desired pattern. Convexed the edge using sandpaper mousepad method. did a fancy lanyward too.

That skull bead is awesome

Thanks much Paden87, this was a keychain. I took out the ring and chain and drilled two holes for the leather lanyard to pass through. The other bead is a Rudraksha which the Sadhu's (the holy men of India) wear.

I put it on my lanyards as a good luck charm.

Great thread! Thanks for sharing.

It's a wonderful feeling knowing that people so far away have the exact same connection to these knives.
