Picked this up at Blade. I shot this photo before putting it in my pocket as my new EDC. I plan on carrying this one for a while to see how I like it. It will be making our upcoming Colombia trip to work with the Junglas.

This is replacing the Benchmade Rift that I've been testing for the last 6 months. You'll have to read Tactical Knives magazine to find out how I liked the Rift ;)

Sweet Knife.
Too bad you couldn't replace the "SF" logo with the Rat Triangle.. and drop the price by about 200 bucks. THEN.. that would be MY EDC!!!

Very Cool Knife!!!

Yea, nice but way too rich for my blood.

I've always maintained that any folder over $100 has to be something really special or do something freaking amazing.

It is cool but to me it seems a open handle knife would attract more stuff to interferre with the pivot & locking mechanism on the folder... Looks sweet but to pricey

Sweet Blade, but like the others, way outta my price range.

Been playing "try the new folder for a EDC" for the last several months, and keep going back to my Kershaw Mini Cyclone as the one I like the best. Mostly because I sent my RAT Folder to a fellow in need... :)

Very Nice lookin blade, I will be interested to see how it works out long term

I tried about 5 different folders last year and traded them all off. I carried a Spyderco Manix for about 5 years and I guess I'm just trained for it now, nothing but Spyderco feels right. I have the Manix and an Endura 4 G-10.

Not my cup of tea.

I can't spend much on a folder. Right now, a Byrd G10 meadowlark is with me when my izula can't be. Although if RAT comes out with a folder, that will probably change.

The design peaked my interest and I know there are some high-end users out there, so in the interest of objective reviews I'm going to see just how well I like it.

Yes. If this knife is anything like their lights, hand guards, or suppressors.. You should be pleased.

Let us know.

I always figured if I was going to spend big bucks on a folder, it would be a strider sng.

Same here....Or a RAT folder with platinum liners.:D

Yea, I really like the looks and design and the company can't be beat, I just couldn't justify the cost.

$425 - I would lose it the first day!

I am afraid to buy a Spyderco Military because I am afraid to spend that kind of money and lose it, maybe orange G10 would help.

I hope the SureFire serves you well.

:D I just flipped a NIB Spyderco Millie Digi Camo To large if I carry something that big it will be a fixed blade

My point is if you will carry a high-dollar Sebenza as an EDC, then it's really no different than carrying the SF as an EDC.

Jeff
Can your review of the Rift be found online? I'm a fan of benchmade. Lately I've bee carrying one of the HK models and I really like it. I'm curious about the Rift.

Nope. Only in Tactical Knives magazine. Not sure what issue date it will be.

I'd be interested in that. I've been looking at the Rift and Kulgera and cant figure out which one I think I would like more.
