Would it be better just to return it for a replacement? If the retailer won t help you, I ve found Cold Steel to be very good, the one time I ve contacted them with a problem. They replaced a purchase I made earlier. I had to pay for sending them the knife.Mine is cranked down to the max, no lock rock can barely thumb it open though.
An SR1 that doesn t lock up tight goes against the whole overbuilt concept of the knife. And I don t think a comfortaby opening knife is too much to expect.
