When I was 9 I watched my grandpa take a spring off an old ford when it opened up really quick and ripped the majority of tissue away from his tibia. He gimped his way intothe house and took out his old timer and cut off the mangled flesh so he could have a clean area to work with. He promptly handed me an old Korean war suture kit and had me sew him up. The craziest thing I ever had to do. Since that time I have sewn myself and three friends up. I'm not sure if it was the blood or the fact that I was suturing my own grandpa that bothered me...but I will never forget him closing that bloody knife after "cleaning himself up".
Oh yeah..there was that time when I was a sad 16 year old who hated the world and was a little fond of boxcutters to the wrist...but that was a long time ago...and I dont remember much of the happenings, and after the reconstructive surgery..I now am without scars, but I am left with a very strong taste for life.
Just a general question..how sharp do you keep your defensive knives? I was told to never rely on anything more than a utility edge on my knives...they hold up better for a longer period of time..and is sharp enough for any defensive situation.
Hey folks..I was just wondering how long it took you to break in your spydie? I just picked up an Endura II today and it is really stiff. I added some break free to the mechanism and it seemed to loosen up a bit..any great ideas? I remember seeing these enduras open with even the slightest flick of the wrist...

I'm surprised you could get a CCW with those charges on your record, even if they were dropped. What State do you live in?
