My ONE & Only

Glade you made that choice. Hopefully you ordered from a reputable source so you don't end up with a fake PM2. Cheers.

I spoke to New Graham Knives over the phone about all things Sebenza and the folks there were very helpful and encouraging. In the end as to the PM2 I dealt with Jeff at Cutlery Shoppe on a phone order. Called him around 2:45pm Eastern and by the time I arrived home around 5:45pm the knife had already been picked up by the Meridian, Idaho post office. Jeff answered my questions concerning the PM2 and handled everything in a very professional manner.

Great choice. The PM2 would've been my suggestion. The Spyderco PM2 and the Leatherman Wave are the 2 knives that have stayed in my collection over the years. Everything else has come and gone.

Small Seb is the most expensive, but it's also by far the best in your list. Since you want the small Seb, just make sure that you have small hands.... I have carried a large Seb, but the small falls out of my hand.

You can't go wrong with the PM2 if you like to use your knife. May not be as fancy as the CRK, but I bet you'll love it. Priciest is not always best. Learned that the hard way.

Great choice, its very different to what you had before, welcome to the modern age! You will love how sharp it is and how convenient it is to open and close.

It quite a bit bigger than what you had before, back pocket or front pocket it will work fine. I still stand by my first recommendation and suggest a CRK Mnandi for when you want to go a little more classic, and something a bit smaller.
I have a work watch and a smart watch, same with my knives. Nothing wrong in having two good knives!!

The PM2 is the best value of the knives on your list, and one of the best on the entire market. Also your choice of vendor is great.

"one knife nirvana" is a myth, doesn't exist :D

I was rooting for him nonetheless. I used to get by just fine with only one knife for several years. But of course I stepped off into the deep end at some point and haven't been right since. Back down to 10 overall (5 folders, 5 fixed).

I doubt the PM2 would fall out of your hand with its generous handle. People complain occasionally about the blade handle ratio of the PM 2 but I like the large handle.

Having owned over 800 straight razors since 2007, sold down to 3, I know what you say can certainly get away from you before you know it. Seemed like as soon as I bought a razor, or 3 or 20, I was always looking to my next score. I primarily shave with the same one now and ceased my "collecting". I gained an enormous amount of knowledge of the razor game over close to a decade.

I say it depends on what you do. If you have a lot of heavy cutting tasks go for the pm2, otherwise the crk large and then the small all the way!

That said I like the ergos of the manix 2 better but I would grab a native 5 over all others 95% of the time. Love the Native 5, it's like a chubby delica that's the same weight! Choosing one seems a lost cause!

Congratulations on the pm2! Very nice knife, I think it will serve you well.

Box elder burl sebenzas look very nice! I have a LG micarta insingo that I carry every day and I love it.

Don't worry about more than one, two or three isn't too bad if you ask me. It's always good to have a backup to your backup!

I stumbled across a brick & mortar knife store just prior to posting this and they are authorized dealers for Spyderco, Benchmade, AND Chris Reeve knives among others. What a wonderful opportunity to handle the Sebenza in person. The small 21 is smaller than I had imagined! They had a great selection of Chris Reeve knives. I believe I had better obtain one even though I have the PM2 slated to arrive tomorrow.

I worked for Christies the auctioneers in the mid 80's. I was then burgled so lost a whole lot of nice stuff I had picked up over the years. Now I just get the odd thing, but its got to be very nice.

See how the PM2 goes, and then think what would compliment it. Were you able to see the little Mnandi? The Large Sebenza is the better knife over the small. The Mnandi is very refined.
Basically, I've said it three times because I want one. Chris Reeve's Knives have that "feel", "touch", that only quality things can give. Victorians and Georgians were good at making things with that touch, in truth craftsmanship does and the older it is the more it gives out.

No Mnandi although I would have enjoyed viewing them in person no doubt. Basically about 16 Reeve knives mostly 21's small and large lefty and righty. 3 inlay, 5 or 6 unique graphics...should have photographed the display case! My Spyderco PM2 arrived in the larger central post office location this morning but after mail is sent out to the burbs so tomorrow I will receive it. Likely I will down the line end up with a Chris Reeve as well since I was able to experience them in the metal which as I said earlier is quite a treat. The owner of the shop said that a special order placed through them to CR would be about 3 months to receive.

Edit: Didn't finish reading the posts, great choice on the PM2, it will serve you well.

What will you use this knife for should be addressed as well. The Delica and Small Sebenza will be similar in blade length, while the PM2 will give you that extra blade real estate. If you need that extra size than go with the PM2, or if you can up the budget a bit then go for the Large Sebenza.

***UPDATE***
I ordered a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 C81GP2 this afternoon after stopping by my local knife shop and handling a pre-owned PM2 once again. After much thought, research, and reading of all of your suggestions, in the end the Spyderco won me over. I surprised myself because I had the Sebenza in a checkout cart ready to pull the trigger. I certainly won't rule out a "2 Knife" level of ownership. Since I am soon to receive a very workman-like PM2 in Black G-10, I can honestly see me owning a Sebenza with Box Elder Burl as a Yin to my Yang. Thanks again so very much guys!

And so it begins. You'll need another one soon.
