My poor Chloe

Inspecting the entire yard we came up w/ 1 nail on a fence post near where the sweet fur (squirrels) ducks into the next yard. We suspect she jumped to try to get the squirrel and caught the nail. It's from when the bozo behind us had his fence put it. The guy putting the fence in had the screw there to tie a string so the rails would be level. Wish we had proof b/c then he'd be paying our vet bill. Oh well. She's home and expected to do well!

Did someone put a screw or nail in your fence or their fence?

yeah the stupid @ss that built the fence. we share the fence but we didn't pay for any of it b/c the fence that was up there was fine. after the hurricane we fixed that portion of the fence with other fence panels from around our yard b/c we had to have the entire front replaced. they then decided they wanted a new one but it wasnt needed so they never asked us to pay for any of it. i have no recourse though b/c i can't prove that it was the nail that did it.

That's a hard call, Chloe probably ripped it open a bit more than what it originally was just because she was moving. There are only three real reasons to suture a wound, anyway. 1. To keep the wound closed so it doesn't get larger. 2. To help stop the bleeding. 3. Cosmetic. I don't know, if you found some of her hair on it, that still wouldn't be proof as far as the law is concerned because they would just say you put it there. All around, it sucks. Then again, you know...dogs get around and it's quite possible that it happened in a way that is totally unrelated to that fence. At least she is OK.

oh they had to suture it b/c htey needed to actually cut the necrotic tissue off of it. then she had to sew what was left back together. it was large. when she takes her wife (in her case husband) beater off i'll take a pic of it.

That's what I'm saying, the wound was originally small and her movement really ripped it open, that's the main reason we humans go to get sutures, to stop the wound from getting larger. That wound probably started out 15% as large as it ended up being. Just moving around causes it to get much bigger.

A dog in a wifebeater shirt. I don't care who you are, that there's funny!

Glad to see she's doing well

Storm it was that or a satellite dish. I personally think the shirt is less humiliating! The guys that cut our lawn probably thought it was funny.

Somehow I assume she looks better in it than Mr Shotgunner would.:eek:

lol...well for the record it's not Mr.Shotty's. He doesn't even own any. It's Shotty child #1's!
That's probably a really good thing. Guys like he and I need to stay far away from things like that.

:eek::barf::eek:

Hahaha! And here I thought wife beaters were a requirement for truck drivers. :sigh: the things you think you have figured out.
I try to avoid other truck drivers. I don't much care for them. I wear cargo shorts or cargo pants and Cabela's fishing shirts. I definitely look more like a fisherman than a truck driver.

Lot lizards?

Sorry, felt I had to jump in
Lot Lizards scare me.
:eek::barf::barf::eek:

I have a couple of fly rods in my truck just in case I get a chance. SWMBO and I did some bass fishing at Lake Houston when she was with me. I also carry my golf clubs just in case...
