You're good, bro. True, yall pissed me off this morning but all of you are solid members here so I didn't stay pissed for long. Appreciate you manning up though ;) and we do appreciate your posts and input on the forum. This was not so much pissed at you three guys directly but just the whole problem in general... All is well and we will kick these contests off again.
 
Is there a way you could just put a limit on them in the ESEE forums if they break the rules. The contests you guys put on motivates me to get out and try the stuff. It might not always end well for me that is why you see none of my posts in the contest threads but I still like to get out and try. When I get one good enough to think I have something valuable to submit I will at that time, until then I try to leave things uncluttered.

Someone had suggested running a parallel thread for questions, comments, etc. It could be linked in the OP so anyone wanting to ask questiosn could go there and anyone that just wanted to enter could use the contest thread. Anyone using the contest thread for comments would then be drawn, quartered and burned at the stake.
 
How about a contest where the first three people to actually follow the rules win?:)
 
Here's an option:

They get the yellow chicklet for 6 months. So long as they have the Chicklet of Disgrace, they can't enter ANY ESEE contest?

Seriously, I think I see stuff like this happen more on this forum than any other I've ever been to. You must attract a certain type of person. . .

That would be a good start for a new contest model.... Label the two threads:

1. "Contest: Snowshoes, ENTRIES ONLY"

2. "Contest: Snowshoes, DISCUSSION"

Something like that would (hopefully) aid in curbing some of the unwanted chatter, and allow people who want to talk smack and strategy do it somewhere that won't effect the contest judging... Make it clear in the OP that violating the "entries" thread will result in DQ (or whatever type of punishment you see fit).

Just my suggestions, whatever you guys come up with I'm sure will be fair.

damn it, i just made snowshoes out of pizza boxes, duct tape and hockey stick and now i can't even enter


oh wait, i couldn't enter to start with because i'm not a gold member. not the end of the world. if only i had read the fist post. :D

Well this blows.I had some sweet Ideas for the snowshoe thread.4 more inches of snow the other day has me wanting to go play.
