my sebenza v. para 2 rant

CRK didn't tell me, but since I am not interested in owning a 400 USD hollow grind tip-up folder, I get my info from other knife nuts and CRK-owners on BF and Youtube

I'd suggest that you actually read through those threads.

Here are some posts from CRK:

(Partway through he talks about doing warranty work on knives that have been "abused" and says that they'll do it for free the first time, but will call you "a naughty boy.")

I'm not going to lie, there are some threads out there about people that appear to have had issues with CRK's warranty process in getting lock issues fixed for free. On the other hand, if you are fair and honest when reading through them, it certainly does appear that something fishy is going on--there's probably more to the user's story than meets the eye.

Each knife has some good qualities. I have a serrated Spyderco that I find very useful. I also have 3 small & 1 large Sebenzas. You pays your money and you makes your choice. I also have a SS Seiko and a GMT Omega. If I'm going to be doing some rough work, I'll wear the Seiko and carry the Spyderco. On most days I wear the Omega and carry the small Sebenza. If someone wants to carry or wear something else, I don't care. Knock yourself out.

Ya, sorry you don't have any perception of quality or cost of extremely precise tolerances.

Timex quartz are probly way better than Rolex automatics, I mean the timex keeps better time, hence probly better?!

These anti-reeve posts are fun after the first 100, now anyone who's pissed at the CRK price point should just do what anyone else does, and NOT BUY ONE. Thanks.

I stopped reading this thread at this post. Absolutely worthless contribution.

I've had a large 21, small insingo, umnumzaan, and currently another large 21 in s35vn. From my experience and use I prefer my D2 Paramilitary 1. It cuts better in every way, no hot spots that I get inside my pinky finger on every framelock, where the tension cutout is, and holds an edge better than any CRK I've owned. The only con I can put against the P1 is no option for left hand carry which the 2 addresses. I carry my lefty Sebenza and D2 Paramilitary almost equally but if I'm in a hurry and can't decide I grab the Para every time.
