I had to renew the subscription on my Snap-on Verus pro & I had been eyeballing a new Snap-on knife made by KAI. He knows I'm into knives since I'm always showing him my latest fix... err.. knife :D . After updating my scan-tool, he reached into a new tool box he had on his truck & gave me one of the new knives from Snap-on/KAI. Check it out :

They come in 4 colors, black, red, orange & green. He gave me a orange one to match my orange tool box. Even before giving me the knife I've always thought of my Snappy dealer like family. I know I spend a crap load of money on his truck & have gotten gifts from him before, but this tops all the others. Anyone else have one of these?

Dash is ba.

Thats beautiful I like that alot.....what model is it? I have it in black but just cant recall the name....model 3840 isnt it???

Definately the first time I've heard or ever seen this model before. It is a nice clean looking knife that is for sure. Doesn't have the newer kershaw logo so makes me wonder when this first came out.

He's had them on his truck for about 2-3 weeks.

They were produced right before the new year, so it has the old logo. Probably the last knife produced with it.

Maybe Im wrong but looks alot like model 3840 that came in the Holiday gift pack they sold at Walmarts. Those were all black tantos with K textuture handles. Im just going by the all around design Im comparing them and look alot alike

The blade is a little over 3.3 inches & its assisted opening. Northend, the blade & handle aren't like the Freefall (3840).

Yes the freefall thanks I couldnt remember name to save my life there......I was digging up pic they do look alike but not completely and Freefall is flipper. Ill have to hunt down my local snap on driver and see what he has now

I'm going to have to ask mine now. Wonder what msrp is, because no way my guy is going to give me a free one.

Kind of has a kershaw ruby 4040 overall profile (i know otherwise they aren't even close;)). That is what it reminded me of most.

I thought I knew everything KAI had to offer but it seems I am ignorant of Snap-On... is it a separate line? I feel terrible not having heard of this! Fie on me!

That is a cool piece, and Made in the USA.
I'll be on the look out for Snap On trucks. ;)
