My Snap-on dealer hooked me up with a new KAI knife

how old is the dash? its not listed on the snap on tool site. I have a feeling my Snap On guy is going to tell me he cant get one

I usually don't go for the Snap On branded stuff, but I think that is really good looking. Too bad I'll have to track it down on the secondary market, if I ever do get one.

Looks sort of like the basic shape of the Kershaw 40th anniversary knife to me.

I will look into getting one of these.

Anyone know what the blade steel is on this?

Or a general idea on what the MSRP or street price is too?

I think it looks awesome. Have no idea of the MSRP, but I've already seen one on the secondary market for around $150.00. Not sure how close that is to it's actual price.

I want this knife it looks awesome I wish they were available somewhere other than the back of a snap-on truck because I've never seen one in my entire life.

I like it. I'm curious about the blade steel too. Could an owner snap (much pun intended) a picture of the spine of the handle with the blade open? Curious as to if it uses an internal or external stop pin. My dad's a Snap On freak and this might convince him to go back to EDC'ing.

Here are the part numbers for the Snappy web site: SO88O (orange), SO88g (green), SO88BLK (black), SO88R (red). But I would recommend finding a local dealer because you might be able to bargain with them on the price. The snappy site says $129 but I know my dealer was selling them for less than that. Also if you deal enough with the snappy dealer you can have a truck account & make payments on the knives or tools, which will could get you into trouble if they continue to come out with cool knives like this. I think the blade is sandvick 14c28n & DLC coated. I would take more pics of it & the box but I left it in my tool box at work.

Nice get! Just found a picture of the green one on the 'bay. Yet another knife to add to the wish list... At quick glance, it does seem to have some similarities to the upcoming Camber (assisted flipper, aluminum handles, trac-tec inserts), which is one from this year's Kershaw line-up that I'm looking forward to. The Dash looks to be made in the USA (as printed on the back of the blade), so I would guess the blade steel is Sandvik 14C28N.

I don't know what they're supposed to go for but I found a green one on ebay for $150. What kind of blade steel does it have?
