My Snap-on dealer hooked me up with a new KAI knife

Sooo.. Has anyone found out if it works well de assisted? I'm really digging it being a motorcycle tech with tons of snap on tools! It's almost like a flipper brother to the blur (obviously a little different shape!) but the aluminum handles, the machining lines on the handle and the rubberized inserts. Hope Kai will make it a production version cause I'm sure it would be a HUGE seller. I know I'm stepping in my shops snap in truck on Thursday though that's for sure!

My snap on dealer told me they were no longer partnered with kershaw and now use only crkt.

I hope he is wrong

Kinda think he is to a certain extent. I think my guy told me a year or two ago they do a lot with CRKT, but my knife did come in a snap on box with kershaw stamping

He is wrong. Kershaw has a great relationship with snap-on and isn't going anywhere. Also snap-on will only put their name on US made products.

Good to know! I don't currently buy anything from my snap on dealer due to the way he operates.

I figured he was bs'ing me about kershaw.

Yeah somebody in snap on licensing went off the reservation as their policy is to only have us made products with their name on it or that's what I've been told at least. Was also told that person did this with multiple lines and that they are no longer with their company.
