Been a few months since I had a good steak.

Good evening, gents.

So when I went to the range earlier today I shot my .44 mag contender for the first time. Tried shooting it off-hand and the trigger guard did a number on my index and middle fingers on my left hand. Not bad at all with .44 specials though.

I think that I just might win "Father of the Year"

WTF?

I'm thinking of going all Draconian and turning Becker into the BFC equivalent of the BCUSA "Cooking & Water Purification" subforum. I'll just start locking anything related to knives, and the only acceptable thread topics will be stoves, cooksets, or cooking.

Just remember, Beckerheads get a pass. :p

My family is jewish which generally means gifts of underwear and socks. So, my dad gave me a gift end of last week and it was underwear, pretty standard except I did a little looking into them because there are some "peculiarities" such as this pouch. Turns out though to be WICKED comfortable.

With just a little bit more research and I found out they are like $30 per pair! But oh my glob they are great!
Why presents - did you have a birthday you neglected to mention?
I hesitate saying this, but I want a pair of those skivvies. They look like a monument to ingenuity, and comfortable as all get out. I actually was trying to come up with something like that for bike shorts, where keeping your junk out of harm's way is of paramount urgency.

Not birthday. Wednesday is my parent's 37th wedding anniversary. We always celebrate as a family everyone gets gifts for each other. However momma recently got fired for bringing cake and ice cream to work, and my dad is on disability so is on a limited income. As a family we talked about it and decided not to get gifts for each other because there are better uses for the funds, i.e. paying bills. However papa had gotten these much earlier and was holding onto them for the 19th.

My birthday is actually in July. Consequentially it's the same day as my mother's birthday.

I have no idea what all this talk is about wrecking your balls, but you owe to yourself to get a Birudashi from Daizee.

I was excited to see this little jewel when Murph brought it to the shop sunday, whadda cool little piece, and just so you guys know, If you not paying attention when you put it back in its sheath, it will go into your index finger about 1/4 of a inch before it comes to a complete stop. (dont ask me how I know, That thing has got a wicked edge.)

By the way Daizee, I hope that Harpoon beer that Murph brought over isnt the best stuff they make up your way. :barf:

w00t!
Cute little pull on that thing. There's a technique to getting them out while the sheath is still fresh - easy to demonstrate, but hard to type. I should do a video. (I don't do videos - what's the world coming to??) The sheath will loosen a bit as the divot wears in to a comfortable spot. Thanks for the pix :D!

Definitely not! :D
Sorry I poked your finger :P
They are very thin and do indeed require some attention to get 'em covered again.

Thats what you get for walking around with empty pockets all the time and counting on Murph to bail you out.

Wish I'd have had that on video. It got me also, later, but you didn't notice because I didn't squeal like a girl about it.
