Ghost town. The Ka-Bar booth starts packing up at 9 a.m. :p

No seriously, a lot of folks do leave early on Sunday, but there are vendors there till two.
On the plus side, you might get a "pack up" special or two on the last day.
Just not at the Ka-Bar booth if, in fact, you're an asshole. :D (Gus, I'll tell you the story in person.)

Cool. I've worked plenty of trade shows so I suspected this was the case. Looking forward to the story!

You're not supposed to inhale. Unless.....it was one of those left-handed "cigars". But those don't really make you sick, unless you go overboard with the munchies.
Never inhaled, except second hand smoke.

Thanks Dubz, I managed to stay off my ass. I wasn't as graceful as I used to be, but I never fell.

Cigars, man Ark brought some good ones to Ethan's awhile back. I smoked like 3 in a few hours. My lips and tongue tingled the rest of the night.
I hear ya. These were so big, they wouldn't fit into a cigar cutter. I used my SAK to cut the end off, haha. We smoked half, went in and ate, then started smoking the other half. Neither one of us finished. Still light headed.

We just had the biggest snow flakes I've seen in my life. Tapering down now, but got an inch of snow in about 15 minutes. Crazy.

33° here now. Here's a few photos. Not the best, but gives you the idea. It was crazy, we just got home, and were there for about 10 minutes, then I walk out, and there's these giant flakes. Sure didn't expect it. It was raining just a bit earlier:

I see im not the only one who has gone overboard on the munchies before :)

And i cry inside every time i see a cigar used that way. Ruins both IMO.

Took the pup to the vet today for his 2nd set of shots, pup did great at the vet and took his shots like a champ.

But the little punk has been screwing with me all day, he has not had an accident since his first day here, but today he has missed the puppy pad every time he peed. He goes right next to the pad, an inch or 2 away, just barely missing it... The first time i thought it was an accident, the 2nd time a coincidence. But now i know he is screwing with me.

And another crappy thing... The vet told me im not suppose to take him outside on walks until he has ALL of his shots, he said thats normal protocol for a puppy, keep it inside and away from other dogs that have NOT had their shots yet either.... But that makes NO sense at all, and i have had puppies all my life and never kept them inside until they had all their shots, and never kept them away from their siblings that havent had their shots yet either.... so im lost at why the vet is saying that, i mean i understood his reasoning, parvo and such, but still dogs are naturally outside, why do i need to keep him indoors? I told the vet we dont have other dogs and he doesnt interact with other dogs when i walk him outside and he still said to keep him indoors if i wanted him to stay healthy.... Doesnt that basically teach the dog its OK to use the floor as a urinal? I mean i want my puppy healthy, but i also want him well adjusted to going outside and being on a leash.

My dog goes back for his DHPP vaccine #3 in a month. I dont really know what that is, but I really hope thats the last set.

Went out into my back yard to shoot some photos this afternoon. Our 9/10's of an acre sits on a tidal pond, and the ground is pretty swampy most of the year, but I've decided I need to spend some more time in the "woods".

There's a lumber yard across the inlet. We're kind of at the head end where the freshwater drainage flows in. In the summer you can't even see through the trees and cattails. To the right you can see the corner of a tree fort I started a few years ago; I stopped working on it when my oldest fell out and fractured her skull. I'm hoping to make it "liveable" this year, before they get too old to enjoy it. Second thought, I'd enjoy it and I am old.....

This is where I set up for the pics. Trees go down every year; a couple years ago we lost a willow that was about 6 feet in diameter. Laid down along the property line, falling away from our shed. Left a big hole in the sky.

It was a pretty good afternoon. Got pumped up and managed to chop some with my "new" Machax (thanks WW!); It really is a great chopper - less blade hits but boy does it hit hard.

Also enjoyed a somewhat local Moat Mountain "Iron Mike" pale ale (brewed in the Mount Washington Valley in North Conway, NH) in the "everyone loves big cans" 24 ouncer. "pale ale in, pale yellow out" and this gem: "Why Cans?" "1. Because sometimes a nice can is better than big jugs". Pretty tasty. Followed up with a couple of Ruthless Ryes from Sierra Nevada while I etched my 12. Gonna strip it tomorrow, hopefully.

Not too bad of a day, all in all.

Man thats really some pretty area back there, and so close to the water it would be hard for me not to EDC a fishing pole!!

Also glad you got to put the 4 to use, hope it serves you well my friend!!

And im dying to do some more etching, just waiting on some more stencils.

Beautiful mike! Beautiful area, beautiful pictures, beautiful subjects!

Woody, I dunno, maybe next time he pisses not on the pad you piss on him?

Woody, I dunno, maybe next time he pisses not on the pad you piss on him?

Oh, i want to, trust me!!

Its weird he still poops on the pad... he's just not peeing on it... But right next to it. I tried moving the pad over an inch or 2 wear he was going and he still adjusted his aim to perfectly MISS the pad. I move the pad to a completely new location and still he goes to the new location and pisses next to it. I put out 6 pads covering a huge area and STILL he pisses next to them.

There is no other logical answer besides he is screwing with me.

Another end of the world? Everything's fine here down under. Except for that weird shaking, fire on the horizon, animals of all kind going insane and all that screaming. Just another day here, not much going on.

Sounds to me like you need a zapper collar... When he pisses next to the pad he gets zapped, when he pisses on the pad he gets a treat.

Shock therapy huh? Yea i wont be going that route.

First id have to shock myself with that collar to make sure it wasnt too harmful, and im not really in the mood for being shocked.

But he does get a few treats when he does right, when he misses i just pick him up and sit him on the pad and say "you little @#$%@# you go here, not over there" or something similar and i clean his mess up and give him a dirty look. Then a few minutes later he walks up and gives me the Shiba smile, and i forget all his wrong doings until next time.

Speaking as someone who has "completed the circuit" it really isn't THAT bad, I'm not saying go get a cop tazer or anything like that, just get an adjustable power collar, put it on the lowest setting and test it till you feel it, then +1 and put it on him.
