My Spyderco Delica 4 FFG

The Delica I have been carrying now is this Super Blue model. The color of the FRN is a very subdued blue/grey and is one of my favorite FRN colors. The edge is easy to maintain and takes a very nice edge with stropping with grey and then green compound.

One of the coolest features is the patina that develops on the SB portion of the blade. It seems to change often with varying usages of the knife.

I'm carrying my Grey VG10 Delica this weekend .
It's been ages since I carried a standard factory Delica , al my others are moderfied or different steels .
My Grey Delica always take me back to reality , in that it is a fantastic knife in its standard configuration

Totally agree! I do love the SB and the other cool options offered on the Delica, but when it comes down to it, I could truly be happy with a standard VG-10 Delica in just about any color.

That gets me thinking though--what is the next steel/color configuration going to be on the next Sprint Delica?

Blue G10 for the scales. We don't know what the steel will be yet.

PS- here is a Delica pic to keep things rolling .

Great pic!

As of mid-August I have been carrying my Super Blue Delica almost every day. The only other knife to take a little pocket time is a HAP40 Dragonfly--great knife too, but it is awkward for me to open one-handed.

I recently returned from a trip to central Utah where I stayed in a cabin in the woods of the Fishlake National Forest. Beautiful country that was dreamed up and created by God himself. The Delica was used for cutting pine ribbon curls for tinder, poke a hole in the top of a water bottle for my son, and every other simple and mundane task you could ask a knife to perform. I didn't take any "action" shots; however, the next post will reveal the beautiful country I was in. . .

This is a cool thread, and I've enjoyed reading about your experiences with your Delicas. However, this thread needs more pics of Piper :)
