Ti handle with holes for switching between saber & reverse grips, integral lock, SpyderHole (I know it's a long shot) and wave.

I want one!

Look, someone around here has the "Ear of Ernie," can someone print this and the other Thread out and hand it to him personally?

This is just too damned good to pass up.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the Commander begs to have a Spyde hole.

Looks good man...but I'm not sure about the holes yet.

Those holes would not only lighten that Titanium Body, but as Joel suggested, would most certainly be a firm aid in manipulating the knife to reverse grip and back again if necessary.

Nice touch Joel.

Hehehe...the more I look at it, the more they grow on my...but I'm thinkin' three smaller holes, similar to the Munroe Chimera, only larger.

Hold on...just realized the Chimera only has two holes also.

...and the "third" hole could interfere with the lock, so...

Man, we so need to make this project happen. I will buy three if it does.

As if there was any doubt at all, <font color=red>you ARE the man</font>. Awesome rendering.

I love the Spyderhole in the blade. I've seen a picture of an ES1-M done the same way. Very cool. Personally I think the thumb disk just gets in the way.

Don, we need to tag team Ernie at the Blade Show.

Whatever it takes, this has got to become a reality. The Spyderhole is a long-shot, but the rest of it is definately within reach. And I like the new name: The Tidal Wave. C'mon, Mr. Emerson--do the knife world another favor!

Joel,
That is one sharp looking knife,I would definitely take one if they come into being!

Thanx for the compliments guys!

The holes in the handle can be smaller.
Just enough to reduce weigth and finger purchase for switching grips...

I will love to see this one become a reality.

John: I know you would like it

I "hate" you guys(actually the financial side of me does)....everytime i buy a new knife, you guys make me end up wanting another...
Emersons are already hard to collect cos they are expensive, but must you make these cool modified ones?? they just help to empty my pockets...
even faster i mean...

what's so cool abt this knife?
cool looking,
spydie hole for fast pinch deployment,
wave,
Emerson(duh),
titanium handles,
recurve,
classic commander design,
secure and safe grip,
that's abt all isn't it?

now all i want in a knife is:
the cool factor,
the wave,
emerson,
titanium handles,
good grip,
recurved blade,
commander's sturdy look,
that's what i want!
ok fine....i am describing the knife in question...
FINE!
now, where is the queue?

You mean you WOULD love to see it become a reality, or do you know something we do not Joel?

P.S.

In my original Thread about The Wave Master, I said there could be an optional, if not somewhat stubby, tanto blade Joel.

I say stubby not because it would be shorter, but because it could be as wide as this blade, having good mass...but would have the illusion of being "stubby" because tantos, especially Ernie's, tend to be very streamlined...

What do you think?

I'm working on an enhanced version of the above knife (smaller holes, satin finish Ti handles and a deep dish cutout for the thumb on the handle...) also working on the Tanto version that it look "TOO FAMILIAR" if you know what I mean

I will post both pics this afternoon.

Jonas...

The Ti body could be roughed up on the "Tactical Models" for better grip like G10 or Micarta...on the show Models, you could have them anodized...or a satin finish.

As for the frame lock, what's stronger than a body thickness of Ti blocking the tang?
