Dan: i wanted to see your demo most of all, got caught up in a few things though. next time.

hey Bill i hope it comes out nice. etch the whole thing after your surface grind it and lets see how the pattern looks. hope you got a thick enough billet out of it.

i was telling my old man about the scale release. he's interested if you plan on making more. just shoot me an e-mail if you do. thanks for coming

Awesome time! It was nice seeing you guys..Marcel thanks for the Moose Antler.. :D IG, as always you sure know how to make everyone feel right at home...Thanks Bro! Mikey...Great Trade you made with Lamont...and I got to referee the whole thing..... Thanks to Paul I brought home a railroad spike knife... :) There were so many things going on before you knew it, it was time to go home..... :( Bill are you sure it wasn't IG's Heat treat relish that burnt your jacket.. :D :D :D

All in all it turned out well. Only had to administer first-aid to two participants. One cut finger and one burnt hand. :D Thanks God we had the tents are butts would of gotten really wet. Mace and Aldo were the last to leave around 9:00PM (I think????). HEHEHE!!!

Aldo and I had a great time!!! Despite the weather.
Aldo slept the whole way home(that bastid) you must have really tuckerd him out George. One of the high points for me was watching Dave Sylvester cut seven..... THAT'S RIGHT I SAID SEVEN  water bottles in half(too bad it was after the contest Dave, then I woulda had to try eight!) Bravo man! that was a sweet cut!!!! :D

George tried to pull a prank on me by putting fireworks in the forge that I was supposed to use but we got Mike Spangler instead!
Mike had a bar that he said was hot and as he was walking by me hit me with it(it was cold).....he'll get his.
Joe Brum scared the crap out of me!
Dave Sylvester finaly found a handle that fit his hand(Renee's moose antler!)
Bill Vining burned his jacket trying to light his cigar with the forge!
He also had a very nice scale release toothpick....I used it to pick some pork out of my teeth when he wasnt looking. I want one of my own! :D

It was really nice meeting all the new guys too.
Can't wait till the next one.
Mace

Here's a picture of my cable damascus after a short etch. All I need to do now is finish my grinding . Would someone be willing to heat treat it for me? Would really appreciate it. Don't have the means to do it myself yet. Thanks.

Marcel
