Heh heh. Cutzilla, I like it Kalindras.
Okay, here's my take.
One way to go is with a *tech name. There's already Speedtech and Microtech, and to my ears, any *tech name is worth a look, if for no other reason than Speed and Micro make such great knives. Someone has suggested Edgetech, and that's a pretty good one.
Another way to go is with a high-tech sounding name, but not a *tech name, to disginuish your company from the *tech crowd. TiKnives and Benchmade both sound kinda hightech. Avatar or something like that, sounds techy and serious and forward-looking. An avatar is an embodiment of a concept or philosophy, or a variant of a continuing basic entity. Seems appropriate! Millennium sounds cool and forward-looking right now, but might not sound quite so cool and forward-lookingin 15 years -- stay far away from trendy names.
Another way to go is like Spyderco. Nothing to do with knives, but it's just cool, and definitely stands out from the crowd. Didn't a coupla well-known fellers start a company called Bullfrog a couple years ago? That sounds super cool to my ears, and despite the fact that I've never seen one of their knives, and only read about them once, I still remember the name -- that's good! Pick a cool animal -- Swordfish, say. Or Mantis.
What I don't think is a good idea is multi-word names. Edge Design Inc. sounds really cool -- but everyone just calls it EDI, and it ends up being a jumble of letters, one of a zillion other acronyms I've heard this week. ONE WORD -- that's the key.
