I, too, am checking them out on their site for the first time. Looking pretty showy. I'm sure they handle sweet. I'd love to get my overly washed hands on one. Your thread struck me because I like the same stuff in a knife. I dig a flipper and miss my titanium framelock Sage 2 (hope you enjoy it TSA).Ah...some more affordable ones on knifecenter that aren't 600+.
I like the looks of this wayfarer
Has just about everything I'm looking for

Yeah that looks sweet. That $500+ mark is brutal though. Like you said, you'd have to be convinced. You really ought to be able to handle it first, especially if it's at the top end of your price range. Unless you don't mind the gamble of it! Otherwise, hold tight and check the Individual Folder Exchange often. I'm pretty sure your dollar would go farther in this category on the Exchange than an online retailer.I like the looks of this one here (a bit pricy. Would need to really be convinced)
Its like a flipper sebenza (but not REALLY lol)

These guys make alot of the crazy anodized stuff. Not my cup of tea. Loving the more plain options
I peeped it on knifecenter first, and they mislabeled it as USA
Just checked them out on bladehq. Some cool stuff, but I like the wayfarer better atmMedford has a few chunky options.
n2s
I've always wanted a slysz. I've also wanted a nirvana!!Next to CRK, I'm very fond of the Spyderco Slysz Bowie... you can maybe find one on the Exchange or the bay.
Not too many options for those guys on bladehq. Where are good places to buy these new?You can find some great full ti midtechs at that price. Ferrum Forge, Curtiss, Zieba, McGinnis Pro Line, and the 3 Rivers Machine all come to mind. I've even seen some custom Jason Clarks and Nova Blades lately under $500.
I realize the immense popularity of the xm-18, and that G10 has many advantages (lightweight, strong, non-slip grip etc), but I greatly prefer titanium or even quality aluminum handles. I just love the heft and rugged feeling of expertly machined slabs of titanium in the hand.Hinderer skinny line. I’d recommend a skinny slicer next time they do a run of them.
I've never gotten into the internet buying/selling on the private marker before. A few ebay deals about 10-15 years agoYou can get an awesome ZT flipper or find a deal here on bladeforum Knife Sales for a Hinderer XM18 (3" blade or 3.5 blade) or XM24 (4" blade) knife, you won;t be dissapointed.
Made in USA.
REATE does make great quality knives, but made in China. Within $300-$500 stick with made in USA just because any knife made in USA (well most of them) comes with superb warranty and service. You can even find Medford here in that price range.
Your next move should be to check the knife sales by individual section of this forum. Get your credit card & paypal ready, that section is the most addictive drug on the universe!!!

Omgyou can always get a full Ti XM-18 by swapping the G-10 scale like I did

I ended up swapping the scale again from the BB Ti to micarta and won't be going back

Sweet! I've almost grabbed a regular 940 before, but grabbed a benchmade 761 instead(a nice looking slicer, with BIG problems and a short lifespan). While not a flipper, the Benchmade 940-2001 falls in your parameters.

But then I found CRK and bought the inkosi and umnumzaan. Those two knives best the spydercos big-time for me. They're just too nice...
When I'm not working (with umnumzaan clipped on usually), and am at home just watching tv and movies, my CRKs are beside me, constantly being slowly opened and closed in their hydraulic, smooth as butter tight action , as a couple of $450 "WORRY BEADS".
My next non flipper titanium framelock will be a large sebenza 21 with micarta inlays. It just Needs to happen..

I'm not sure if its something I'd be comfortable doing. I'd be so worried about being burned. I've been screwed with a couple times in the past, and it has REALLY left a bad taste in my mouth.
I've never checked that section of Bladeforums before. I suppose if there is some sort of feedback system, I'd be comfortable buying from a VERY reputable person with many deals under their belt.
