I'll likely take my dremel to one of my .any screwdrivers at some point.I just used a hollow-ground slotted screwdriver and a security bit. Didn't really need the security bit. I've had my knife apart about a dozen times with no issue. LGS had a used tool kit for $20. It's pretty nice. Good place to store spare pieces and common bits.

I should do it now, so I can adjust the blade centering. It just ever so slightly favors the lockbar side. Enough to irritate me
No danger of blade rubbing with the scale, so it can wait.
I wont get the reate due to made in China. I believe everyone that they are quality, it's just a mental thing..
Like say there is a beautiful woman, a smoking hot 10/10. You're about to make love, when someone from bladeforums whispers in your ear (she was born a man).
If you didn't know any better, it'd probably be a swell time. But Once you know....
Honestly as it stands, it is SO sweet on bearings. Can't think of any reason to swap it. I'm not going to be getting it filthy, so bearings are ok I thinkPlan to keep it on bearings? I switched to the bronze washers. G10 is easy to modify so that's an option.
Lol..LOL, so along those lines....considering where everything else is or has parts made.... you realize all the women you've ever been with were once men...but never had a problem with it till now.![]()
Its mostly jist countries with CRAP reputation for knives.
Japan....I can live with Japan(altho they seem to be going downhill). Have bought several $200+ knives from Japan: all great
Russia, home to the shirogorov: the best flipper on planet earth atm. Olamic originally from Russia too. Them Russians know their stuff! Np buying russian
Germany: used to hear of blades made from solingen. I had a small sliplock as a kid.from there. Would be cool with high end knife from germany
England: always heard about "sheffield steel", but everything Ive touched out of England has been crap. DONE with you England!
China: decades of nothing but cheap swill has tarnished their reputation. I understand they were filling a special niche, but it has ruined knives from China for me. It does a bad thing in my mind. Even if some of their upstart companies are equal to USA, I still need more time to heal.
Pakistan/india knives: lol they are completely hopeless. The worst ever.
Yea, I get it.The quality coming out of China right now is unquestionable. But the design language from WE and Reate have left me a little cold because it seems like they're trying to cater to the American market instead of giving me a well made Chinese knife. The China prideful way, not the mass production way.
Two Suns is actually interesting in this regard because they seem to only use Chinese designers and I actually feel like I'm buying a Chinese Knife opposed to a knife "made in China". Does that make sense to anyone?
A coworker of mine bought an Italo. Nice knife, but I was not a fan of the wire clip.
Hinderer arrived!

Oh man...they're all so different lol.NIce! Trying to decide between the umnum, inkosi and hinderer xm 18 right now. Which do you prefer?
Oh man...they're all so different lol.
If you like an indestructible flipper that rockets open, and the most ruggedly built of the 3, get the hinderer. I've been playing with it all weekend and it is insane
Inkosi/umnumzaan are better slicers, as the blade thickness is alot thinner. They both have a similar smooth hydraulic slow opening feel. Umnumzaan is easier to open IMO. Once the inkosi breaks in, is opens smooth as silk.
Between the inkosi/umnumzaan, I say get the one that looks better to your taste, because they both perform similar.
All 3 are easy to disassemble/reassemble, but the xm18 is a bit more difficult because it has extra parts. It's still very easy. However you'll have to make a tool for the lockside pivot (I filed a groove in the middle of a junk screwdriver. Some people have dremel a slot in a penny). Or you can buy an overpriced tool for $80
Anyways....All 3 are FANTASTIC knives! Trying to pick one is hard, as I just go the xm18 yesterday. Honeymoon is in FULL bow chicka wow wowww mode, so I can't fairly decide atm. Ask me again in 2-3 weeks
