Navman Appreciation - Photo Thread

Hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!!

This is my second Navman knife. My first one, along with photos of Josh’s work, have all impressed me. This one though, (maybe with some slight personal bias lol), is as close to perfection as I’ve encountered in a hunting knife. I got on Josh’s books, we communicated about intended use, wants, desires, some measurements, and what he came up with was essentially a slight modification of his boot skinner.
You hear folks say things like, “The handle melts into my hand,” or “the knife becomes an extension of me”, kind of a thing. I’m feeling all that on this knife. Another aspect worth mentioning that often gets overlooked in my opinion is the leatherwork. Very robust and high quality work.
It really is a stunning example. My hats off to Josh here. The black and red looks fantastic. All the subtle details of the weight and feel, balance, thumb serrations, tapered tang, perfect grinds, great edge design and geometry can be mentioned but need to be felt and seen in person to really appreciate. Just awesome

Very nice! Almost looks like a B&T.

I just stumbled on this thread...... Josh is building my fourth "Mazer Custom" now.

I need to get all four of the kids together soon for a group photo that'll be posted here......

I'm keeping my eyes open for a new Mazer blade shape to possibly fill a 5th spot at some point.... 😁
