I'm looking for some good karma and giving away a CRKT BladeLOCK. I'll run the contest until next Sunday. Your post number is your random entry, but I'd like you to give us all a tip for things you do to get through a bad day or two...
Nice Giveaway LL. I'm fortunate to have mostly good days but when things are dragging me down I try to remember the really important things like my Wife, kids, grandkid, etc.. When a particular person is rubbing me wrong I try and put myself in their shoes and imagine what might be eating them.
Awesome knife, thanks for the chance. When I am having a bad day, coming home and hanging out in the bed of my truck with my 4 month old son always does the trick!
Maybe some day I'll make some that are good enough to sell...
I have one of those jobs where most of the things that cause my bad day can be hit with hammers. Nine times out of ten, that's what solves the problem!
I get a 6 pack of one of my of my favorite IPA's and watch some stupid TV show on my laptop or maybe if it's sunny, sit outside on my fire escape and read a good book. I also find free hand sharpening on my arkansas stone to be very relaxing (even if i'm not very good at it)
You can always think of someone who has had a worse day. It works for me every time. Just watch Schindlers List and try to tell someone how bad your day was after that.
I'm more of an optimist but have been dealing with some depression these past months. I like to go outside with my dog and absorb nature, that REALLY works well for me. I agree with Shorttime, I found that going into the workshop and grinding away some steel for hours also calms the nerves nicely.
Usually when I realize I'm having a bad day I apologize a lot. If I'm miserable I have a nasty tendency to spread it around. Apologizing in advance gets me much more slack and sometimes stops me from being a jerk altogether
