When I do notice it's gonna be a bad day, I take a break, smoke & calm myself. Used Obi Wan's mantra: be mindful...

The problem is, sometimes (actually more often than not) I don't realize it until EOD. Then at home, I do knife maintenance while reflecting throughout.

A good reminder recently shared to me is the song Life by Kannon. It is indeed fortunate that I'm alive at all ;)

Thank you very much for sharing and for the giveaway!

If overseas not counted, no problem, just sharing this reminder is a reward ... Again, and again reminding myself

Thanx for the chance! When I have a bad day I find the company of babies and puppies the best. They really know how to play! Fortunately I have a 2.5 year old son and I manage a pet store!

I also drink...

i think about the fact that God is in control of my day. Things could be worse.... I could be going through the day with out Him.

Sometimes taking some time to work on a knife helps me get a mental break.

Thanx for the chance! I think getting over whatever caused you to have a bad day is the solution. Like many have said, doing something that requires concentration (sharpening knives), or something that distracts you (going on a hike) will help you get over it.

Thanks man, honestly, I either shoot stuff or workout until I can't move. Some days though I like to sit outside and just sharpen my knife.

Count me out on this one unless you are willing to send overseas. :) I just thought I'd participate.

Mine's pretty personal way, so it might not work for everyone: reggae. It always gives me strength and positive vibes for life. It's carrying message and positive rhythm gives good mood. Maybe few frosty ones added to that, amplifies it all. For mere power-up, I might go with some nasty sweaty ragga-jungle tunes.

Cheers!

When I'm having a bad day I try to stop wherever I'm at and take a few deep breaths, say the serenity prayer a few times and see if that helps me re-group. Then when I get home me and the dog play a lot of frisbee. Thanks for the opportunity.

My bad days always seem to be me getting PO'd for something stupid that I did, other than that things are pretty cool.

Thanks for the contest, that's very nice of you, what a great forum this is. First and foremost I take a knee and go to the Lord in prayer. That works 99.99% of the time. If it doesn't, then I tell Satan to grab his bag and take a hike. Hope everyones tips help you out.

You always have to be good to Karma. I truly believe that. Thanks for the chance and hope it all works for ya.

First thing is NEVER take out your bad day on someone else. I usually grab a beer and wrap myself around a project in the shop. Whether it's working on a knife or just hammering the crap out of something. Destressing is so important to living a happy life. When I get home I see my chickens running around and it makes me smile no matter what happens.

When I lived in Milwaukee and worked in a print shop I'd have to turn on classical music as soon as I got to my car so I wouldn't go off. It would calm me before seeing my wife.

No matter how bad your day is going, just remember that tomorrow could be even worse so better make the best of it. Kick your feet up and throw on some Pink Floyd. If you're still enraged or depressed by the end of The Division Bell, return it for a refund.

Thanks for the opportunity.
When I'm having a bad day I remember how so many people have it so much worse then I do. Reminds me that in the big picture whatevers bothering me really isn't that bad after all....

when im having a bad day i try to consume myself in a task.

work on my bike

work on my truck

sharpen a knife

etc.

I work by myself so it can be tough to get out of a funk sometimes.

when its really bad sometimes i just take the day off and reflect on how blessed i am to have the life i do.

Life is incredible man, never forget that.

Please put my name on that knife.:D.

When I'm having a "bad" day, I do some tinkering on my knives and guns...Pimpin'.:D.

I usually ride my 4-wheeler for a while. Getting into the randomness of the woods usually takes my mind off from things.
